This editorial was designed to celebrate and showcase a beautiful new wedding venue, Grassfield Hall in Patley Bridge, and a tremendous team of wedding suppliers all based in North Yorkshire.

This makes me incredibly happy indeed – I live in North Yorkshire and truly do love where I live. The region has a wealth of creative talent in the wedding industry eager to work with couples and assist them in having the best, most wonderful and memorable wedding day possible. One of these suppliers is Jaymie, owner and creative designer at Forge Events, whose words are below. We are also thrilled that this editorial shoot features the gowns of our girls over at Rewritten Bridesmaids…

“Our intention was to produce an intimate ‘wedding’ that had a chic, luxury and romantic feel, whilst retaining a contemporary timeless quality to it – everyone involved wanted this editorial to stand the test of time, as we do with all our work. Something that was also very important to me whilst designing this editorial was to keep the scheme within an average wedding budget. I wanted the final look to be attainable to all couples.”

“Through thoughtful floral and venue styling, a carefully chosen colour pallet and high-quality products, I believe we have achieved our goal. We shot this editorial as a real wedding, with bridesmaids, groom’s men and guests with photos taken from bridal and groom prep right through to cutting the cake. The story board looks like a real wedding, this was done to help couples visualise their day.”

“We used a warm, deep colour pallet of golden mustard, deep muddy pink, burgundy and creamy coffee for the florals. This colour pallet oozes sophistication which mirrors the stunning Georgian country house that is Grassfield Hall. Catering for intimate weddings of up to 50 in the impeccably refurbished chic suite of event rooms (Drawing room, Bar, Lounge and exquisite party room) and boutique bed and breakfast.”

“The colour pallet continues within the groom and groom’s men’s suits from Dandy Threads which were in tones of earthy browns with pops of deep orange and sophisticated pewter from the up-market accessories – everyone needs a pocket watch right?!”

“The bridesmaids were dressed in beautifully cut timeless dresses from Rewritten in tones of blue and green whilst the stunning brides dress from temple by Bo and Luca, had the most intricate embroidery in antique gold, which picked up tones within the bride’s bouquet and jewellery beautifully. Both the brides and bridesmaids dresses were from the uber fashionable, The Aisle.”

“The colour pallet continued within the sophisticated make up provided by Love Hair and Beauty Boutique, bespoke hand-made jewellery by Alice Clark and scrummy cakes and desert grazing table by Where The Ribbon Ends.”

“On the day coordination was provided by the incredible Lucy Wright Events, holding the team together! But even with all the well planned and executed design in the world, this editorial would not have looked half as good if not for the very talented Jessica J Photography, so much is dependent on good, experienced photographic skills and we were very lucky to have such a talent photograph this editorial.”

I really hope you enjoy looking through this editorial, and it gives you inspiration for your wedding.”
