Good day wonderful readers and I do hope that you’re having the best of days. I’m popping in to introduce you to a brilliant British bridalwear brand that’s all about modern luxury and effortless glamour.

RASHA London have just launched their new collection, Divine and it’s such a treat to be able to share it with you right now and tell you more about this empowering and cool label. Let’s say hello to all things Divine.

RASHA London officially launched back in 2015 but designer and founder Rasha had been designing dresses since 2007 after completing her degree at Central Saint Martins.

“I knew I had a passion for fabrics and textures and wanted to create my own label so embarked on making this a reality,” says Rasha. “There was a lot of hard work and knock-backs and I learnt on the go, fuelled by drive and perseverance. I started by designing for friends and family and my first bride was getting married on the beach in Thailand in 2007 and wanted a special but relaxed dress to suit the venue.”

“I designed a flowing silk chiffon dress with scattered crystals around the bottom and it was a great success. It was immensely rewarding being part of her day and we’re still friends now.”

From this beginning, Rasha continued exploring bridal design and noticed more and more that the modern women sought increasingly free-spirited, relaxed and alternative styles. Now, Rasha designs gowns that empower the wearers and frankly, what more could you ask for on your wedding day?

“For me, empowering women through their clothes is a mission that I am passionate about. My clients are real women with real life stories so they might have had babies or be getting married later in life. They might have scars and stretch marks and they’re all shapes, ages and sizes. One thing they all have in common is that they want to look and feel great with the comfort and freedom to be themselves and I believe I deliver that.”

RASHA London’s new Divine collection is inspired by Greek mythology and it really is a thing of beauty. I love the strong use of the goddess-like gold and the modern, simple silhouettes really appeal. I adore the striking sunburst beading on Athena and the beaded sheer back of Celestial.

In fact, the statement beading runs through a lot of this collection but there are sculpted, minimal gowns too. Clio is an absolute joy and I have a huge crush on the one-shouldered styling of Katniss.

I would say that RASHA London brides are strong minded, independent women who seek something different. They see the bigger picture of their wedding day and they stay true to their style and looks and they treasure life’s special moments.

Rasha takes her inspiration from everything around her and she admits that inspiration can strike at any time and from anything. She lists the always-stylish and brilliantly intelligent Amal Clooney as one of her muses and strong women feature highly throughout her life – she follows Karren Brady on Instagram and has recently read Michelle Obama’s exceptional ‘Becoming’.

There’s no doubt that Rasha champions women and a desire to design clothes that make all women look and feel fantastic is woven into Rasha’s DNA.

The Divine collection from RASHA London couldn’t be more appropriately named – yes, it looks divine but, most importantly, you’re going to feel divine when you wear it. And that, dear readers, is the best combination you could wish for on your wedding day.
