After many years of musings, contemplation and wondering, the time has come. MOST CURIOUS is doing a Northern show! And in one of the greatest and coolest cities in the world, the incomparable Manchester.
In even more synchronicity, we are delighted to be launching this new date and location with our very own Angel of the North of the Wedding Industry, Annabel of Love My Dress.
With extra special magical leap year vibes, the date for MOST CURIOUS Manchester has been confirmed as the 29th February 2020, and the venue is a super cool and exciting new development right in the heart of central Manchester, so exciting and new in fact, we’re still gonna keep it a super-top secret for a just a few more short weeks – sorry!
True to form, we’re pioneering the space for this type of event and all will be revealed by the end of the month, but we wanted to share the date with you today, so that you could get planning for what we fully intend on being a completely game-changing event in the North.
What we can tell you is that there will be over 80 incredible stands, installations and a styling theme inspired by our campaign images. It’s going to the biggest, style-focused wedding show in the North of England, which is pretty wild.
We knew it had to be Manchester; as teens of the 90s (ok some of us are – and some of us are younger – we’ll mention no names), this place has held a special place in our hearts for a very long time.
Enviously looking on, feeling like a softie Southener, fascinated by and idolising this far away town that’s huge beating heart could be felt and heard around the world, with its own vibe, it’s own sense of identity, industry, culture, music, art, innovation and wonderful people.
We’re fulfilling a pretty big dream by bringing the show to this iconic location.
We want to spread the MOST CURIOUS message and bring our own brand of cool to the wedding scene in the North of England. We want to create a platform to join forces with and champion local designers, stars and talent and to take a new step in being an exciting, creative resource for the brides of the region.
This really is a big deal for us.
Through our well established MOST CURIOUS London and Norwich events, we’ve been able to capture the attention of many makers and couples, however, it doesn’t make huge sense to book lots of suppliers who aren’t particularly local to you, and so we appreciate that up to now, MOST CURIOUS has been more of a viable resource for those in and around the South.
Well, that time is over my friends – we’re coming to get you Manchester and we truly can not wait!
We also super happy to be returning to Norwich too, on the 29th March, at our Warehouse Party in the East, The Fire Pit Camp. We always say our Norwich show is the smaller, wilder more bohemian little sister to our London show (now she has a big sister in Manchester!).
It has 60 creative and design led exhibitors which are mainly from East Anglia and there’s a little more of a festival outdoorsy vibe and because of the timing it is always a bit of a celebration of the start of Spring.

We also wanted to give space and clarity to shout about and share these amazing cinemagraphs by Wagtail Productions taken at our campaign!
We asked Ayla of Wagtail to come and record some video footage as we love her stuff. She replied with the question, ‘Do you know what a cinemagraph is, because I want to come do some cinemagraphs.’ We did not, so she explained and we jumped at the chance!
Cinemagraphs are these amazing witchcrafty Harry Potter style images where isolated elements within the images actually move – like a photograph and a video at the same time. Take a look for yourself…

What Ayla has produced has completed blown our minds, especially the compilation video of all of them that totally captures our 2020 show vibes. A wonderful piece of magic to start off the new season of MOST CURIOUS.
