There is good reason our schedule isn’t quite as busy as usual at the moment, and this is because I am giving so much of my time to supporting and co-managing the incredibly important What About Weddings campaign.
The What About Weddings team will be publishing information next week that explain in detail the work we’re undertaking behind the scenes. It is vital, critical and the most important role I have ever taken on in my life. But right now, good lord, I am in desperate need of inspiration, something uplifting and beautiful. We’re sharing this editorial on behalf of our highly recommended venue, Brickhouse Vineyard, located in the Devon countryside.

“Inspired by the autumn colours and stunning Brickhouse Vineyard setting, we created an elegant elopement editorial with soft golds, browns, yellows, oranges and pinks. I wanted to capture the beauty of the Devonshire vineyard at that time of year as the vines started to change colour to lovely yellow and gold shades.”
“We were lucky to have some gorgeous light to work with on the crisp autumn day too! We reflected our concept within the wild and textured floral design, fun cocktails, elegant cake and seasonal styling.”
“Cottage Flowers styled the Round House with an incredible statement floral backdrop made up from dried Hydrangeas, Café au lait Dahlias, Copper Beech and Roses, which would be ideal for any small Autumn ceremony or elopement.”
It was also the perfect backdrop for our table setup, scattered with little vases filled with seasonal blooms and styled with props from Keeping it Vintage.”
“Finishing touches included a clean and modern bespoke stationery suite by Knots and Kisses in pretty shades of pinks and browns, as well as some delicious seasonal cocktails by The Fizzy Pheasant presented in traditional cut glasses.”
“The cocktails were inspired by classic English autumn flavours and our soft colour palette. The Fig & Fizz would make an excellent welcome drink for any autumn wedding and the Soho Sling would make a great signature wedding cocktail for any couple who love gin!”
“Our incredible wedding cake was created by Claire Makes Cakes in a clean minimal design with soft hints of pinks and browns. The ruffled texture and square base tier were complimented with her intricate handmade sugar flowers and leaves.”
“It was the perfect timeless statement to add to our wedding table!”
“Kate Walker Bridal styled an array of elegant dresses on our Bride. They included Bronte by Louise Bentley with its stunning low back and pearl embellishment, Saskia by Kate Walker with it’s pretty leaf detailing and Teddy by Lou Lou Bridal, a stylish shorter design which was perfect for our outdoor shots wandering amongst the vines.”
“The dresses were accompanied by pretty gold jewellery by Erin Cox as well as bespoke handmade headpieces by The Lucky Sixpence, including a gorgeous headband with ivory, pink, gold and copper leaves and delicate beads.”
“The Updo Girl created two beautiful soft textured updos paired with fresh, luminous skin with soft grey tones on the eyes by Laura Le Page Bridal Makeup.”
