This exquisite wedding in Tuscany is a true celebration of love and elegance. Nanya, the wedding planning director and owner of The Wedding Bliss Thailand , tied the knot with Bart, a restaurant owner and director of a wine import company, in a stunning June ceremony at the picturesque Colle Massari in Tuscany, Italy.
The wedding paid homage to the enchanting Tuscan landscape and the warm hospitality of Italy. The stylish bride wore breathtaking gowns by Made With Love Bridal and Rime Arodaky, complemented by elegant Yves Saint Laurent shoes. Nanya’s exceptional wedding planning and styling team ensured every detail was meticulously curated, creating an unforgettable celebration.
Photography by Fabijan Vuksic and a captivating film by Fragments Collection beautifully captured the essence of this extraordinary event. Enjoy the visual journey through this remarkable wedding.
The Welcome Dinner
One of my favourite parts of the wedding was grape-stomping at the welcome dinner. It’s an experience that no one had done before. I loved the idea of included something very traditional, and this is how they made wine in the old days.
It was such a fun thing to do; men carried the grapes in buckets from the vineyard and put them in the barrel, then women jumped into the barrel and danced together.
The wedding was in June, and grapes were not yet available in Tuscany, but we managed to find Sicilian grapes on the Grosseto market and had them shipped to our location for this unforgettable moment. It was complicated to put it all together, but it was really was worth it.
Our welcome night was designed with ‘vendemmia‘ theme in mind — Italian harvest party — with the centrepiece of the evening being the grape stomping tradition. This was something that I saw in the movie “A walk in the clouds” years ago, and fell in love with the idea. We had sourced a large wooden barrel, filled it with grapes, and invited all the guests to join in on the fun. It was messy, hilarious and very memorable!

Bridal Beauty & Accessories
My wedding veil was also made by Made With Love Bridal to fit my ceremony dress. My shoes were by Yves Saint Laurent.
I flew my trusted make up artist, Treephipat Witchayawuttisakul and hairdresser, Chatchai Kilntubtim, in from Thailand.
The Dress
I wore a gown by Made With Love Bridal for the ceremony and then changed into a dress by Rime Arodaky for the reception.
I got both dresses directly from the designers. My Made with Love gown was purchased online, as I couldn’t travel to Australia where they are based, but I fell in love with the style, as it was both sweet and sexy and made with intricate fabric. It also fit my body shape perfectly, with an accent on my waist thanks to the beautiful belt.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was framed by four old olive trees, which we decorated with local flowers. I also chose an olive and lemon colour palette, which blended beautifully with the surroundings.
Subtle floral accents served to highlight the natural beauty of the area, while rustic elements, such as wooden tables made it cosy and welcoming.
I walked down the aisle with my father, who is my hero. He wore his police uniform (he used to be a chief of Thai police before he retired, and we’re all very proud of him). It was a very special moment that we shared. This was to ‘What A Wonderful World’, by Louis Armstrong.
Our dear friend, Tim, who is also a registered wedding officiant in Phuket at Tropical Events. Not only he’s a skilled and soulful speaker, he also knows us both personally, and could personalise the ceremony, making it very very touching.
We wrote our own vows, and it was very special. My vows included a wine reference (since it was partly was brought us together). I told Bart he is like a wine aged in an oak barrel – classic and delicious.
Photography
Our photographer was Fabijan Vuksic. I discovered Fabijan via Instagram and I loved his work. We love the same style, and share a fun and playful approach to work.
Our videographer was Alena from Fragments Collection, who is absolutely brilliant. Her work is like our own little movie that brings me back to that day every time.
How They Met
Bart and I first met back in 2011, when we both were running completely different lives. Bart was still in his previous marriage, and I had just moved to Phuket from Bangkok to start my business. It was a professional meeting – Bart was one of the wine suppliers we used.
Fast forward to June 2020, the first time we were allowed out of isolation during the pandemic. We met at Bart’s wine bar anniversary party and got talking. I learned that he’s recently become single again, and was living in Phuket with his three kids.
We talked about life, his kids, the way we spend our free time, our mutual love of travelling. We bonded so quickly. I fell in love with him even more seeing what a good father he is for his kids. My family and friends loved him instantly, and I know that if I’m worried about anything, he will find a way to make me feel calm and safe.
Bart proposed during our trip to Tuscany in summer 2022. I had just finished a big wedding project there, and he flew in to meet me there with his children. We travelled around, visiting wineries (Bart still runs wine import business in Thailand), and one day we went to visit Colle Massari – a place particularly important for Bart, as it’s managed by one of his best friends.
Having received the blessing of his children (who also turned to be our photographers during the proposal), he proposed to me under an olive tree at Colle Massari. We knew there and then, that it’s the place where we’d get married.
The Reception
Table runners were in a beautiful olive shade. Lemon yellow is such a fun summer colour, and it lifted the look of our dining tables.
We used IAMFLOWER.CO for our floral design – they are a Thailand-based team who have been my friends, business partners, and great support for many years now.
There was no question that they will take care of our wedding day floral design. They worked tirelessly on bringing the flowers in the right tone that we needed, and combined it with local foraged greenery.
Knowing that it’s important to have local team as well, we also recruited the help of brilliant ladies from Copihue Floral Studio. We worked with this Rome-based team on a wedding we did for a client a year ago, and loved their approach and beautiful personalities. They provided vases and additional rentals, as well as support in floral design on the day.
All food was prepared by Colle Massari team, who were incredible. They made a beautiful Tuscan feast featuring seasonal flavours
We didn’t have a cake, but we did have a champagne pop! The champagne was a gift sent by Villa Sandi Prosecco Winery who put our names on the label.
For favours, we prepared little jars of Amarena cherries, an Italian specialty that Bart and I both love. Bart’s company also imports this cherry brand to Thailand.
Evening & Dancing
For the evening reception, I chose a classic and romantic style from Rime Arodaky. A lace open back added an element of drama and I opted for a high pony tail, for that sleek, romantic look.
Visiting Rime’s studio in Paris for the original fitting was amazing – we got to chat with her and the team, and they helped me select the best design.
There were two very special dances for me; our first dance, to ‘Until I Found You’, by Stephen Sanchez. And then my father-daughter dance, to ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’, by Elvis Presley.
The Day After
The third day was a post-wedding wind-down by the seaside, in a beautiful area of Porto Santo Stefano.
One of our friends showed it to us a year earlier, when we just got engaged, and we both just fell in love with the simple beauty of the location.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
Don’t drink too much the day before your wedding day! I had a hangover on my wedding day as I drank too much at the welcome dinner. Even when we finished the party, I still continued drinking as I forgot that the next day I needed to concentrate!
On the wedding day, I had energy drinks and the wedding was in the late afternoon, so my body had time to recover in time before I walked down the aisle.
