This beautiful editorial, captured on location at the enchanting Leonardslee House in West Sussex, is for those of you who adore expressive, immersive wedding design. The vision of wedding planner Emily of Weddings by Emily Charlotte and floral artist Liz from Blue Sky Flowers, this shoot is a masterclass in embracing a ‘more is more’ approach while retaining an air of effortless elegance.
What makes this shoot particularly special is how achievable it all feels. Every design idea – from the abundant florals to the layered table styling – has been so beautifully considered, yet feels entirely replicable for your own wedding day. Whether it’s the pastel palette, the creative use of candlesticks as escort cards, or the fresh take on the champagne tower, this is an editorial filled with inspirational and accessible ideas.
We’re so proud that this shoot features the talents of several Love My Dress recommended suppliers, including floral styling by Blue Sky Flowers, bridalwear from Morgan Davies Bridal, accessories by Hermione Harbutt and decorative pieces from The Luxe Collection. These are the kind of trusted, experienced creatives who bring visions like this to life with style and ease.

Shop Items We Love
Myself, Weddings by Emily Charlotte, and Liz, Blue Sky Flowers, came together a few months prior to the shoot and started excitedly brainstorming ideas. From the very beginning, an abundance of flowers was at the heart of our vision and can be seen across every element of our design; from the bold, patterned tablecloth to the soft bridal gown and everything in-between, including the stationery, cake, jewellery, plates and even the evening jumpsuit – everything featured florals.
The floral arrangements themselves included a statement ceremony installation, staircase arrangements and the most luscious table centrepieces…
For our tablescape, we wanted our design to be busy – but in the best most beautiful and inspiring way; a feast for the eyes with much to explore in terms of texture, patterns and depth. All the gorgeous table decor detail was provided by Luxe Collection.

We swapped a traditional table plan display for a simple but effective escort tablet that used candlesticks – something we hadn’t seen done before but a design idea that could be easily replicated by couples looking for fresh new ideas. We also gave the classic champagne tower a creative twist by nestling elegant coupes among the flowers on the wedding cake display. This playful and stylish approach offers a fresh take on cocktail hour, while also ensuring the cake becomes a true focal point, rather than being tucked away as an afterthought.
We opted for a pastel colour palette centred around pinks and greens, with touches of lilac and peachy tones throughout.

To bring a unique element to the shoot, we invited live illustrator Vic Riches to join us for the day. She spent the shoot painting both the scenes and the models as they unfolded, adding a beautifully artistic layer to the experience. With more couples seeking bespoke ways to entertain and impress their guests, a live illustrator like Vic offers a truly memorable and personal touch.
