You'll probably be out and about doing something to celebrate the Bank Holiday today, but I couldn't leave you with nothing to admire on this here Wedding Blog, so today I'm bringing you something rather elegant to drool over.
Kirsty and Andy Dawe tied the knot on 19 December 2009 at Beaulieu Abbey Church, which Kirsty described to me as a 'stunning Abbey church in the most beautiful part of the New Forest'. A reception followed at the Montagu Arms Hotel, with it's own Michelin starred Chef – a perfect cosy country house, and idea for a Christmas venue.
Kirsty's beautifully elegant dress was Sagrera by Pronovias, a beautifully elegant Spanish lace design…
"Grace Kelly's wedding day mixed with 1940's glamour for the bridesmaids inspired our wedding day.
wanted lace and wanted to fabric to speak for itself rather than be
covered in lots of sparkle and fuss. Was looking for graceful, elegance –
a bit of a Grace Kelly feel. My dress also inspired me to add some Spanishy
touches like the flowers in the girls hair which had a flamenco feel
and the Spanish guitarist we had at the reception."
I love these wedding photographs as they just ooze glamour, gorgeousness and bags of elegance – that's what we're all about here at the Love My Dress Wedding Blog…

Kirsty's hair was styled by Lavant Rowe and she applied her own makeup on the day…
Flowers were by Exclusively Weddings…
wanted to create a luxurious opulent feel and had a very specific idea
of the candelabra I wanted, flowers and colours. Lynda at Exclusively Weddings
completely understood my vision and I trusted her to create it while I
was getting ready on the day. I wanted them to reflect the warmth of
winter and Christmas but not be too over the top Christmassy…"
Kirsty wore a stunning Pronovias cathedral length veil – handmade
with scalloped edging, shoes by Bourne and a 1 carat diamond necklace
and set of stud earrings, that were her 'borrowed', from her Sister.
Kirsty walked down the aisle to Adagio From Concerto Grosso Op. 6. No. 8 In G Minor

Rings were supplied by Hadleys of leamington…
saw our rings in the window over 10 months before our wedding, we new
we wanted something different and not mass produced and liked choosing a
local jewelller in the New Forest"
vintage Austin was supplied by a friend of the family to transport the
newlyweds to their wedding reception venue at the Montagu Arms Hotel…
Bridesmaids wore Dessy Dresses (design 273) with pretty matching and

Words of Wedded Wisdom…
suppliers you really trust – even if this means paying a bit more,
you'll feel so much more relaxed. Tell your trusted friends/bridesmaids
(who need to be as particular as you!) how you want everything to
look/feel on the day. Then they can take care of it/check it and you can
enjoy yourself knowing your in the best hands
I also planned
everything in huge detail and had spreadsheets for everything including
the exact timings of the day. Although it might be considered excessive,
on the day I could truly relax and enjoy everything as I'd been so
specific about my instructions to everyone!"
I love how Kirsty pulled off her Grace Kelly inspired look – she looks the epitome of elegance and that wedding veil is the most beautiful thing ever!
Congratulations to Kirsty and Andy with special thanks to Kirsty for sharing all her wedding day style with Love My Dress.
