How did you get into
wedding photography?

'My passion is
photographing people from all walks of life. Weddings are
such amazing unique events full of
interesting happy people that it was a natural progression for me to move
from photographing individuals to hundreds of people!

My work involves mainly weddings and
portraiture, but I also shoot fashion and musicians. I'm based in
Manchester, but work all over the UK. I love to travel so any excuse to see new
places in the UK or further afield is an exciting part of my work.'

What do you love about
photographing weddings?

 'There are lots I love
about photographing weddings… First, I think it's one of the most difficult
types of photography, both technically and creatively, and I love the challenge
it presents. My aim is to capture all the emotions from just one day, where
possible without being noticed – the nerves, tears, joy, laughter and the
energy of the dancing!

Another lovely part of my work is meeting and
photographing loads of really cool people who have often come from all over the
world to be with people they love for one special day.

It's a privilege to be
there and I love to document the day capturing natural, emotive and creative
shots of moments in time that my clients can keep forever.'

What inspires you when
it comes to your work?

 'My work is influenced
by film, music, baroque painting and fashion.'

How would you describe
your signature style?

'Cinematic. I like to create honest, atmospheric images similar
to movie stills with freeze frame moments that capture personality and tell a
story.'

'On a wedding day I
like to blend in and work quickly and unobtrusively to capture natural shots of
everyone and to document the day as it unfolds.'

If you weren't a wedding photographer, what would you be?

coffee for people all day!'
