I am absolutely not an artist. I am in fact so bad at drawing that I veto any games that require me to sketch anything for fear that everyone will spend so long laughing, we’ll never find a winner. That said, I do know what I like, what colour combinations sing to me and what motifs and designs make me smile with happiness. Jane and Ailbhe, the Directors of Design at Appleberry Press were originally graphic designers and began creating wedding stationery back in 2010 when Jane couldn’t find the personal designs that she was looking for for her own wedding. I think that it is absolutely this range that is so impressive. I love the calligraphy, the floral touches, the typography and the colourways on offer. Bold stripes and soft watercolours vie for attention alongside themed stationery suites and timeless letterpress. I know that the phrase ‘something for everyone’ is horribly overused but in this case, it’s undeniably applicable. Traditional, contemporary, formal or laid back brides will certainly find something to suit in the Appleberry Press collection.
