Hola! How are you? I am literally just fresh back from 3 nights camping under the stars – I LOVED it! It's been a while since I put aside the hair dryer and mod-cons to brave it ourdoor style under canvass, but it was the best thing I could have done.
We stayed at at site near Robin Hood's Bay, which isn't too far from home, and the campsite was beautiful with excellent facilities. I love Robin Hood's Bay, it marks the end of the near 200 mile cross country 'Coast to Coast' route and has a fascinating history; an old smuggling baby, legend has it you could once smuggle a bale of silk from the bottom of the village right to the very top without it seeing the light of day, so interconnected were the buildings of the village with a secret network of tunnels. I love stuff like that! It fascinates me.
For most of you today, it will be back to work {remember it's only a 4 day week}, and so with you in mind, I have a real lovely wedding to share this morning. Jeta and Chris tied the knot on 28 July this year at Brighton Bandstand and these images capture the main part of their wedding day celebrations.

Would you believe, Bride Jeta claims to not have any Bridal instinct about her? Despite that, she pulled off the most stylish Bridal look on her wedding day, wearing a vintage prom dress that originated from 1950's New York, teamed with a vintage wide-brim hat, an EBay find…
"I found it in a shop in Camden passage called 'Decadent Vintage'. It was a perfect fit! I was on my own, so asked the lady to take a photo of me trying the dress with my iPhone and quickly sent it to Chris. He said he loved it too and I got it :)"
"The dress was simple, unique and not very bridal & most importantlty it had that 50s Audrey feel to it…."
The clear lucite bag was a purchase from Miss L Fire that Jeta filled with roses the day prior to her wedding day. The roses were from a local florist:-
"Brighton Bandstand was where we had our first passionate kiss on our second date – although I must admit we didn’t remember this when we chose the venue. It hit us long after we’d booked it, and then I really got excited.
We were hoping for a sunny day & we got it!"
"The Bandstand in Brighton. It was different, unique and very Brightonesque. It’s our favorite piece of architecture in Brighton & it’s 5 min walk from where we live.
On the registrars wedding brochure, a gay wedding was featured on the Bandstand – it was so not traditional, it was us. We kept the venue secret until 30 min before the ceremony. We told parents and siblings to meet us at a restaurant nearby for a drink and we walked to the Bandstand together…"
The couple are Atheists so had a religious/tradition free wedding ceremony…
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"Keep it simple, keep it local, keep it relaxed. Do it for yourself not for other people. It’s a recipe for enjoying your own wedding day – as we did…"
Sometimes, all you need is love, a beautiful frock and a bandstand ;))
Huge congrats to Jeta and Chris and big thanks to Brighton wedding photographer Niamh Baldock for sending in these beautiful images.

This is simply stunning! I love everything about the bride’s outfit, it’s so elegant and so chic and SO AUDREY {which of course, I approve of whole heartedly!}.

They look so happy! Amazing….love it!
I’m so glad to see photos from this wedding – the bride ordered her petticoats from us and brought the dress in to check the length. I have been dreaming of it ever since… Stunning wedding on one of Brighton’s most beautiful landmarks. Thanks so much for blogging it!
Ah, Brighton. What a perfect place for this style. So chic, love it!

Love it!!! They both look so happy. I love the bride’s style, the hat is very cute!
I also love a pretty bandstand, it’s so English, especially when you put it beside a picture postcard beach!

I love the idea of carrying the roses in the clear bag! xx
Thanks for your lovely comments my friends, I LOVE being back at the blog after a few days break!! ;))

Love the gloves and love the handbag. The bandstand looked gorgeous and reminded me of my wedding. I was married under a gazebo next to a beach in St Lucia.
What a beautiful dress!

Hi The O-Zone! I’ll be sure to add you to the credits as part of this feature! Jeta just emailed to apologise for forgetting to do so, not to worry! 😉
Thanks everyone else for your sweet kind words, they are lovely.
If only more Brides would opt for a hat over a veil, what a fabulous style choice!!
Much love,
Annabel xXx
What a gorgeous wedding.
But I was seriously distracted by the thought of you camping Annabel. I so did not have you down as a camper!

Such a beautiful wedding! I just love that dress, and the hat matched so perfectly! Very classy 🙂
I keep coming back to these images – this is the most beautiful dress, hat, bride, venue & wedding EVER (sigh). That hat is so fabulous it deserves a blog post all of its own.
