Yes ladies, I believe I have today stumbled upon the real HAND BAG HEAVEN!
These most charismatic of carriers, are brought to you care of Carrie White, of 'Chlorine of Los Angeles' – premiere sellers of refurbished and artfully embellished vintage handbags. Chlorine's aim is to elevate each vintage clutch, tote, bridal bag, or unique handbag they collect to a more modern and accessible work of art that every girl would be proud to carry.
Born in the heart of Texas, Carrie was raised by Antique Collecting parents with a distinguished eye for Art Deco and Nouveau. As a girl, Carrie spent many summers exploring flea markets and collecting treasures. From a very early age, Carrie treated her collections as prized and precious valuables not knowing that someday these would influence her career path.

Carrie attended Rhode Island School of Design, graduating with a degree in Textile Design. She moved to San Francisco after graduation and landed her first industry job working for a textile mill. She dabbled in design, purchasing, managing, and product development but knew she was still searching for her gold. In the summer of 2002, she got married and moved with her husband Eric to Los Angeles to imbibe the sunny California Dreamin lifestyle that they longed for. In 2006 after much searching and various design jobs, Carrie realised her joy of design was in accessory design and launched Chlorine of Los Angeles. In an effort to achieve the Old Hollywood Glam Girl’s chic style, Carrie White designs one of a kind clutches that are embellished restored vintage and become instant love affairs for every girl who carries a Chlorine bag.
But why 'Chlorine?'? A curious name indeed….
Carrie explains on her webiste…"Chlorine is a color. The color is like the bleached aqua of an empty pool. It makes me feel calm and relaxed, as if I am on vacation in the tropics or lounging poolside. There is something about the chlorine scent of swimming pools in the summertime mixed with sun tan lotion, honeysuckle and salt air that defines the quintessential glamorous lifestyle. Chlorine brings back great memories from my childhood, whether around our family pool, at the country club, or on a family vacation. Chlorine is fun times! I want to inspire all women to think beyond the trends and accessorize themselves in a unique and sophisticated way. Giving new life to vintage goods is also our small way of helping the environment."
Well Carrie, that's a good enough explanation for me. I love Chlorine, and I LOVE your handbags!
Time for a break from Blogging, so I can drool some more….
It's all so totally bagalicious…..!
