Mindenwood Floral Design is a wedding floral studio known for its understated and luxurious, design-led approach to modern celebrations – and we are delighted to recommend this wonderful small business to those of you planning weddings in the North East UK.
Based in Durham, Mindenwood was founded by floral artist and designer Lisa Corbett, whose love of architecture, atmosphere and thoughtful design influences everything she creates.
Lisa works with couples who are drawn to florals that feel elegant, natural and deeply considered rather than trend-led. By taking on only a limited number of weddings each year, she and her team are able to give each celebration the time, care and attention needed to create something truly personal and meaningful.

Lisa Corbett
Founder, Mindenwood Floral Design
Based in County Durham, Lisa Corbett is the founder and creative force behind Mindenwood Floral Design. Drawn to flowers from an early age, she discovered floristry as a creative outlet and has since built a business centred on natural, seasonal floral design for weddings and events.
Lisa’s work is characterised by relaxed, elegant arrangements that celebrate texture, movement and the beauty of the seasons, with many of her flowers sourced from trusted local growers.
Committed to working as sustainably as possible, she avoids floral foam and single-use plastics, and continues to refine her craft through training and mentorship with some of the UK’s most respected floral designers.
Elevated & Elegant Floral Design
This beautiful suite of images was recently commissioned by Lisa to represent her brand and is a gorgeous example of her work. She collaborated with photographer Natalie Pluck and wedding venue Forcett Hall to create a collection of images that beautifully showcase the Mindenwood aesthetic, from abundant floral installations and elegant, understated tablescapes to thoughtfully styled bridal portraits and interiors.
Together, the images highlight Lisa’s distinctive floral design style, her meticulous attention to detail and artistry, and her ability to transform a space through flowers and styling. They also offer a glimpse into the elevated wedding and event experiences she creates for her clients, demonstrating not only how beautiful flowers can look, but how they can shape atmosphere, evoke emotion and leave a lasting impression

The creative direction was shaped by things I have always been drawn to; the scale and detail of classical architecture, the natural movement and texture found in garden-inspired florals, and the atmosphere captured in fine art portraiture.
I wanted the imagery to feel elegant without being overly styled, bringing together the character of old houses and heritage interiors with a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic.
The florals themselves were designed to feel generous and natural, with plenty of movement and texture, rather than arranged into something too formal or contrived.

Telling a Story Through Flowers
I wanted the shoot to tell a story through a series of different settings and moments, showing the breadth of what flowers can bring to a wedding or event. The bridal portraits explored the relationship between florals, fashion and atmosphere, with an ivory Nobody’s Child bridal dress chosen for its simplicity and an olive green Ganni dress bringing a more playful contrast.
Vintage Prada satin heels from my own collection complemented both looks beautifully. For the tablescape, the focus was on layered textures, candlelight and carefully considered details, creating a setting that felt welcoming and luxurious without relying on bold colour or elaborate decoration.

The Creative Team
I wanted and planned the day to be private, intimate and calm, and carefully selected a wonderful team and wedding industry suppliers.
Natalie Pluck Photography, Ellie Mac Social, hair and makeup expert Becca Hunton and model Natalia Matsola worked together to capture the essence of my brand: romantic, artistic and elevated.
Each of them played such an important role in bringing my vision to life.

Natalie Pluck was the ideal creative partner to capture the brand shoot
Her signature style aligned perfectly. With a fine-art approach to photography that emphasises natural light, thoughtful composition and an editorial sensibility, both florals and people feel authentic and elevated.
The result is imagery that feels luxurious yet approachable, an important reflection of the Mindenwood brand. I feel they communicate my brand aesthetic: romantic, artistic, intentional and deeply inspired by nature, and capture the essence of Mindenwood Floral Design as a creator of elegant and refined experiences.

Forcett Hall Estate
Forcett Hall provided the perfect backdrop for the Mindenwood Floral Design brand shoot, offering a setting that embodies the timeless elegance, romance and sophistication at the heart of the brand.
With its grand architecture, historic character and beautifully preserved interiors, the venue created an atmosphere that felt both stately and intimate, which allowed the floral designs and styling to shine within a truly inspiring environment.
