It's all in the detail…

And this detail really has it ALL.

Feast your eyes……………………..

Rachel and Terry used Tiffany Pearlsirtlomydr 21amplas2ampo2ampa0810954435 as their Guestbook.  Genius!!

"For the special occasions we celebrate together as a couple, Terry has always given me a gift from Tiffany's.  Ms. Audrey stared in the film "Breakfast at Tiffany's".  The guest book featured her on the cover and was on the subject of Tiffany Pearls.  My birthstone is pearl (also the color of the Christian Louboutin shoes I wore during the ceremony).  I wanted to incorporate Tiffany without going the common route–using Tiffany blue as a wedding color…"

See how the gorgeous cake-topper matches the Brides hair accessory/band? Double genius!

"Our cake was by Fran's Cake Design & Floral.  A traditional white three tiered cake was chosen.  This remained consistent with the cake design from my grandmother's 1950 wedding pictures.  The cake set atop a 13" blue depression glass pedastal purchased from Ebay".

"Antique vases held the bride and bridesmaid bouquets on the headtable each purchased from Ebay…"

Winter Floral & Antiques of Charleston, West Virginia, provided the stunning floral arrangements…

“Roses and Carnations were the main flowers of choice for the wedding ceremony.  Wreaths packed with carnations were on the end of every other pew in the church.  Only white flowers were used during the wedding ceremony to embrace the 1950s classical theme.  The bride's birthday is in the month of June and the flower for this month is a Rose."

I adore how the Bride and Groom made use of the Peacock Feather and beautiful Peacock blue throughout their wedding – they even appeared in the floral table displays…

"Peacock feathers were included in two large arrangements framing the front of the church. Blue thistles were used to connect the texture of the flowers with the feathers.  Poppy pods painted gold served as a vibrant accent to tie together the gold tipped toes of the bridesmaids shoes.

The flowers for the reception incorporate peacock feathers as well as several types of blue and white flowers.  The feel for the reception was a jazz club / Frank Sintara vibe.  The large arrangments set atop LED light pads that changed  in hues of blue, green and purple.  A cast iron 6' tree full of seed lights served as the focal point of the room and accented the cocktail table holding the escort cards.”

I'd like to thank once again the fine Photographers and Artists that are Justin and Mary Marantz, for sharing this most wonderful of weddings.  And I'd like to thank Rachel for emailing me with all the details we wanted to know about, from her glorious day…

"….thank you so very much for the love you have expressed for our wedding!  We are truly honoured! … thank you for giving us this opportunity to share our wedding and Justin and Mary's art with others.  Best wishes for the continued growth and success of Love My Dress!!"…

One final recommendation from this most beautiful of Brides…

"Throughout the entire planning of the wedding, I used Karen Bussen's book and organizer, entitled 'Simple Stunning Weddings'.  I think this is a must have resource for any bride planning a wedding!!

Thank you to my husband who so loving supported me through every step of the process.  Without his love, all of this planning would have been in vain. I love you, Terry!"

Now I feel all warm inside!  I'd like to finish with a little dedication to Rachel's muse, the beautiful, exquisite and totally adorable, Ms Audrey Hepburn (it's been a while since I saw this fabulous movie, and I had forgotten quite how funny it is!)…

Lots of vintage peacock feather love,

LMD
