A magical secret garden filled with vibrant foliage and enchanting birds is the inspiration for custom made wedding shoe designer Emmy Scarterfield’s new collection for 2010. Elegant vintage styles mixed with intricate hand sewn details are what makes Emmy accessories stand out from the crowd and the Secret Garden collection continues to focus on beautiful finishes creating shoes which ooze an ethereal glamour.
A floral print round toe shoe is a key piece, created from a beautiful vintage cotton fabric found in the Camden Passage Market, London – a playful shoe for brides with an eye for the unique, it comes with a detachable fabric corsage, cost £445. Better still, Brides can have this shoe made in entirely their own choice of fabric – just wonderful….

This collection has a sense of old world Hollywood featuring the introduction of a new towering heel, used to compliment with a soft round toe. Whilst a crystal embellished ostrich feather is dramatically used to bring a decadent feel to the collection. A beautiful range of coordinating hair decorations compliment the shoes and a new beaded 1920’s sash is being introduced for the first time.
The colour palette is soft and ethereal featuring shades of ivory, oyster, blush, soft blues and pale lilacs. However, as with all Emmy’s designs the shoes can be made to in a rainbow of shades and fabrics depending on the brides needs.
Each Emmy Scarterfield shoe is custom made, so each design can be adapted and changed to meet the brides needs. With a stunning variety of shapes to choose from, brides are given the opportunity to select not only the shape of their bridal shoes, but the colour, fabric, heel size and decorative detail.
Personal consultations are held at the gorgeously girly Emmy showroom based in the heart of Islington. Known for her glamorous vintage inspired style, brides can choose from a 50’s point to a 40’s peep toe, a delicate 30’s sandal or a timeless feminine round toe. Each pair is also finished with a crystal inset into the leather soles, to ensure that each Bride sparkles whilst kneeling at the altar.
