1950’s Inspired Vintage Wedding in Las Vegas…

Hiya! Wow what a gorgeous day! I'm just off out to walk my little baby girl in some sunshine!

So, are any of your Brides to be heading to to Vegas for your nuptials?

Kim and Alvin here tied the knot with a vintage inspired, 1950'sstyle wedding in Las Vegas on 30 December 2010, with a ceremony at Wynn Las Vegas wedding salons, followed by a reception at La Reve Cirque Du Soleil Show, and dinner at the Society Cafe all at Wynn Las Vegas.

I feel in love with Kim's style instantly of course, but was so heartened to know that her dress was designed by one of my favourite ever bespoke wedding dress designers – the one and only Dana Bolton

"As soon as I met Dana I knew she was perfect to make my dress! I've always loved the 40's and 50's look and don't feel comfortable in long dresses so knew the style dress I would have…"

"Alvin couldn't find a suit he liked, he originally got one tailored but it just wasn't him so we ended up going for something more fashionable from Topman! The one occasion he was allowed to spend what he liked and he ended up on the high street!

"We had some 'Downtown Vegas Pics' taken by Suzi at TSL photography   Our driver got us lost so we were so late we only had about 35 minutes with the  photographer. It was absolutely freezing too! She did an amazing job however! :)"

"My wedding rings and engagement ring were made by a little independent jewellers in Brighton. Ocean jewellers in the Lanes.

I got my bangle and earrings from Passionate about Vintage – the drop style bracelet was my Grandmas necklace; both her and my Mum wore it on their wedding day and as my dress was quite high necked i made it into a bracelet. The daisy ring was my great grandmas."

Words of Wedded Wisdom…

"I would highly recommend getting married abroad, it's like one big holiday with your best friends and family and very stress free!

We originally had a big wedding planned here but the more we planned the more we realized it wasn't us. We had planned to visit Las Vegas while on honeymoon (as well as LA San Francisco and Cabo in Mexico) so thought why don't we just do it while we are away. We thought it would be just us but the more we told people the more people wanted to come along for the ride!

The highlight was seeing how all our friends and family and being able to spend time with them all on the day and the days following. The most surprising part was how I didn’t feel nervous, I get nervous about everything usually but I enjoyed every minute without turning into a wreck! The other highlight were our photos!"
