I count myself incredibly lucky that I know so many talented people working in this industry. Indeed, one of the reasons I hosted my first networking event two weeks ago, the Summer Soiree [see here, here and here + a preview here} was so that I could help bring this countrywide span of talent to the North East for just one evening of letting their hair down and having a bit of fun.
Most of us are self-employed (ie, mostly working 7 days a week, rarely ever any time off), and so an evening full of decadent delights was fully deserved. I also absolutely revelled in the opportunity to set my blogging hat to one side and take my turn as Event Planner for a change. I loved bringing everyone together and really wanted people to leave having made new personal and business connections – and with a reminder of how brilliant this industry really is.
Mintyslippers came along to the Summer Soiree on 3rd August, and they made a little film, which I’d like to share with you today. Enjoy my lovely ones…
Film made by Mintyslippers
In case you are wondering, that soundtrack is ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ by Foster The People – chosen by Mintyslippers as it has something of a retro vibe about it, yet is contemporary and fun and reflects the pace of the day that unfolded before them as they captured all the glamorous excitement on film (never have I seen so many fabulous dresses together at once!).
Immense thanks to Danny, Julie and the whole Mintyslippers team. You guys are amazing and I love how you have captured the essence of one heck of a fabulous evening so beautifully. And honestly, I don’t even remember you being near me when you filmed most of this! A sign of truly professional and talented film makers I say 🙂 Brides, if you are interested in having a chat with Mintyslippers about the possibility of them filming your wedding, email Danny without delay. You can see more from Mintyslippers on Love My Dress here.
Remember you can see all the photographs from the evening here, here and here {preview}.
Have a sweet Sunday my friends,
Love Annabel x
