Any long term follower of this blog will know I'm a huge Jenny Packham fan. I wore Jenny Packham on my own wedding day and felt a million dollars. There is some about the cut and drape of fabric in Jenny's designs that is so incredibly flattering; her dresses are so elegant and chic and perfect for that Bride looking for some floor sweeping Hollywood style glamour.
Bride Tracy here wore Jenny Packham on her May wedding day too, when she finally tied the knot with her love Richard. The ceremony took place at St Werbughs Church in Chester and was followed by a reception at Thornton Manor at Thornton Hough, Wirral…
"I wanted something different to the traditional strapless dresses, I wanted a vintage style dress and something that reflected the grandure of our reception venue.
As soon as I put on the dress it made me feel so elegant, it was so demure but a little bit sexy too with the low cut back & amazing bow detail- the feel of dress was so luxurious so much silk and I loved the embelishment on the front to add just a little bit of 'bling'…."

Tracy didn't want traditional Bridesmaids dresses so went for these pretty pastel choices from Fever Designs, in 2 different colours…
What a lovely shot. I wonder who this could be? Tracy's parents perhaps?
Tracy really is a woman after my own heart – I wore these exact same shoes on my wedding day too. They are the beautiful Pearl wedding shoes by Emmy. You can order these shoes in any heel height. They are unbelievably comfortable…
A classic rose bouquet and a very elegant silk charmeuse wedding dress – with a hint of glamour around the waist with that pretty sparkly detail. Jenny Packham get's it absolutely right again…
"I love vintage style roses and the pastel colours they come in. These colours inspired the the general theme for the day including wedding stationary, bridesmaid dresses and grooms ties…"
"My parents got maried in this church, see answer for inspiration question for reason for selecting.
What was also amazing was that we had exclusive use of the venue -we had the whole house to ourselves -only our guests were able to stay in the rooms which they they did. all rooms in the house were filled with our friends and family's plus the cottages in the grounds too…"
"Rich and I have been together for 9 years so the engagement was not a rush. We met in Leeds (I was at uni and Rich lived their after returning form his gap year after uni). Rich took me to Barcelona as a surprise and proposed to me..."
"I went to Thornton Manor (the reception venue) when I was young girl for a garden party before it was a wedding venue (Lord lever Hulmes former home) and remember it having wonderful gardens. As soon as we started looking and found out it was a wedding venue- we visited it and fell in love with it…"
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"Enjoy the preparations and lead up to the big day. If you are able to- get up and do a speach so that you are able to say a few thankyou's and words to your husband in your own words not his! Also it is good to not tell your friends everything about your plans for the day so that they get a surprise on the day too.
My best engagement gift was a susbscription to You and Your Wedding from my berst friend- I will definitly miss my monthly weddinng magazine hit!"
Just a lovely wedding and that is just as it should be 🙂
Thanks to Photographer Tobiah Tayo for sending these lovely photographs in…
"Tobiah and Laura were a truly fantastic on the day, they were really relaxed, not demading or intrusive at all and captured our day perfectly.
They had some really innovative ideas – it was extra special too as Tobiah and Laura both got married at our venue a couple of weeks before us so knew all the best places to be photographed."
