Today I am writing to you from a sunny, if a little windy, Cornwall as I am down here for a few days co-ordinating a rather beautiful wedding. Held at a stunning cliffside hotel overlooking the Atlantic ocean with amazing views of the North Cornish coast, this place is heaven on earth and I could not think of anywhere better for my couple to say their I-do's.

I know the bride-to-be is an avid reader of Love My Dress and has been so inspired by Annabel's blog throughout her planning. So I would like to say a huge hello ***waves*** as I am sure she will be checking in still, and also wish the happy couple a million best wishes for an amazing weekend, I know it will be incredible and I am honoured to be a part of it.

Now let's talk inspiration and get you all fired up with some pretty pictures to drool over, this week I am working with a colour palette that I adore ~ dusky pink…

Dusky pink… is such a beautifully calming yet chic colour which works perfectly with other neutrals like stone, grey and mink, as well as stronger colours of mauve and even tangerine orange which has been popular this year.

It is a very feminine scheme, all soft and pretty without being to saccharine, and still has that sophisticated and chic edge to it, I find…

Some ideas:

You don't often see long-sleeves on bridesmaids but I really love this dress in the picture, especially with such a sheer delicate fabric, set-off with lace panelling in the softest dusky pink, it would look stunning.

♥  For the groom, rather than matching tie and handkerchief to the colour scheme why not add in the dusky pink in a more subtle way and go for a coloured shirt?

These watercolour cards look really interesting and were actually an experiment of different paint finishes. I think they would be perfect for an interesting and eye-catching seating chart, with each of your guests names and their table number printed, or hand calligraphed over the top. Something you could quite easily craft at home using a beautiful paper stock, perhaps handmade paper would work well, you could even have a go at making your own paper if you were after that handmade finish.

♥  Dusky pink ballet flats like these pictured would be a great favour idea for the ladies ~ to ease those tired feet and allow them to dance the night away free from restrictive heels and something that they would definitely treasure long after the day.

♥  Simple flower arrangements always make my heart beat a little faster, I love how these are placed in milk white vessels allowing the pink flowers to take centre stage.

And how amazing is this dress? It may not be dusky pink, but oh, those bows!

Whatever you are doing this weekend? ….have a fabulous and fun-filled one.
