So today, we’re going from the sublime, to the ridiculous. In case you hadn’t guessed, I’m dedicated Love My Dress today to all the suppliers who helped make last week’s Style Me Vintage: Weddings book launch party such an epic success – they are, each of them, listed at the bottom of this page.
I’ve already blogged the photographs and the film, and I’ve been literally chomping on the bit to share just some of the photobooth images that were taken on the night by the super Photo Emporium. Now, if you’re not yet familiar with the concept of having a photo booth at your wedding or celebratory event, let these pictures be a great example of how a good photobooth experience can encourage your guests to, how do we put it, have a little bit of silly fun.
Very very silly fun involving plastic lobsters, big red lips, letters that spell out ‘HOT’ and horse masks, like you do.
Horse masks are, I find, always a most important icebreaker. And plastic grapes.

You see, the thing was, the people that were there on the evening were partly why the event was such a great success – they are a fab crowd, no industry pretentiousness, no try-to-hards, just good, hard working people letting their hair down and having a great time.
Most of us in the wedding industry are self employed or work crazy hours including long weekends – I believe that gives us full licence to dress up and have a blow-out every once in a while, don’t you?
I spot Franky somewhere in there!
As we were planning for the book launch, Melanie of Cranberry Blue Weddings suggested we could possibly work with Vic and Tyson of The Photo Emporium. I wasn’t hugely familiar with The Photo Emporium at that time, but Melanie was raving and raving about them, and knowing she has possibly the bestest little black book of contacts in all time (I kid you not), I was keen to learn more. All I really knew was that they offered a photobooth experience with a difference.
WOW! Little did I expect a whole scene including picket fences and the like to be set up within the venue to form the photobooth play area. It was BRILLIANT! Seriously, Tyson worked so hard all evening ensuring my guests had the most incredible fun.
These are just a fraction of the images (around a third I’d say) of the 190 images you can see on The Photo Emporium Facebook Page right now…
My little girls with their Grandma Jan below…
Here’s looking at YOU, Nabeel, Dominique, Laura and Mark (the camera never, ever lies don’t you know)…
Annoyingly, I had so many people to chat to all evening, I totally
missed out (how on earth would that happen? I know! But trust me please,
I literally did not stop with folk who wanted to say hello and pay
their congratulations and that kept me pretty busy until way past bed
time!).
Hahaha!
Spot yourself? Do leave a comment if so 😉 I’d love to hear from you!
From now on, I will be recommending The Photo Emporium to everyone I know, they were just superb. They set up and broke down their styled area with zero fuss – quietly getting on with it and when the guests started to arrive and express an interest in having some fun, The Photo Emporium were right there to ensure they had the best time. I cannot thank Vic and Tyson enough for collaborating with me on my book launch party, they played a vital element in the success of the evening.
Just to say again that these are only part of the full gallery now available on the Photo Emporium Facebook Page – go check them out and ‘tag’ to your hearts content people.
Thank you so much for allowing me to hijack the blog a little today to celebrate the official launching of Style Me Vintage: Weddings – I’m so grateful and it was important that I paid respect to the many many people who were a part of this big project and showed them some love today.
Now, for that next book……

Ridiculously good fun! We all had a blast and I think these photos prove it! xx
Probably the best photo booth EVER! Love all these photos, so funny. Those unicorn heads were definitely our favourites! x
Spotted! Brilliant photobooth, so much fun and could definitely have spent longer being daft given half the chance. Really cannot rave about the party enough. Everyone involved should be really proud and Annabel it’s testament to your wonderful work that it was a top night all round.
Oh my goodness, who knew I was so pouty?! Really great fun! x
This was just too much fun!! Had such a blast, thank you Annabel! And don’t you just love The Photo Emporium guys? They should be at every wedding.
Haha!!! I’m saying nothing 😉
Hehehehe!
A brilliant party full of really lovely people who don’t take themselves too seriously. I think I’ll bookmark this page for when I need a giggle in future. Excellent posing everyone!
These photos are so fun! I love all of the fun props–especially that unicorn head. Ha! Ha!
Ha ha brilliant, had an absolute ball thankyou so much Annabel!xx Usually I turn away from cameras but this was way too much fun, my fave had to be the lobster, couldn’t get enough of it!!!! hee hee hee!!!
An EXCELLENT photobooth of epic proportions. I very much liked the interactivity of having the images show up on screen and being immediately available for sharing on the iPad AND the opportunity to print multiple copies. Had I not have been having such a grand old time chatting, I would definitely have been in there a lot more!
Annabel, it was such fun! A brilliant ice breaker as you said and the almost endless props were just amazing. Being able to immediately share the images on various social media platforms made it even more special.
Oh, no! Can’t help but laugh. Great fun. Thankfully nobody knows me.
Love all these photos.. it’ fun
One of the best photo booth! I agree this is a type of photo booth that should be in every wedding. FUN!
Me and the other half had a great night (15th pic up from bottom), thanks Annabel, lovely to meet you finally, albeit briefly! xxxx
p.s. AMAZING photobooth!
Ha ha – Photo Booths are just the best fun 🙂
Looks like loads of fun, love the horse masks
It seems that all of you had a great party enjoyment with photobooth theme. All of these images are really stunning. People should hire such kind of photobooth service provider to make an occasion more precious.
Wonderful photos – Looks soooo much fun!
