If you're not already in the know, the 'Google Reader' service ended today. I've always used Google Reader to follow my favourite blogs so am sad to see the closure of this helpful online service. But fret not fellow blog lovers, there is an alternative way to continue following not only Love My Dress but all your other favourite blogs all in one place – and that's Bloglovin'.
is a brilliant little tool that operates much the same way that Google
Reader did, though if you're completely new to these things, let's just
say it enables you to list all the blogs you love the most and it will
tell you when each of them has been updated. Simples!
Whilst we're on the subject of 'follows', we thought we'd provide a neat little update on how you can keep up to date with Love My Dress across our various other social media channels.
Pinterest is the go-to site for visual inspiration. If you're not already au-fait with this nifty little service, take five out today to make Pinterest your friend. It really is amazing and quite addictive once you've sussed out how to use it (don't say we didn't warn you!).
We have our own beautiful collection of Pinterest boards all neatly categorised (ie, wedding dresses, veils, cakes, boudoir – we actually have almost 80 boards full of all our favourite images not just from Love My Dress, but all our bestest other wedding blogs too, waiting for you to explore. If you hover over any of the images that feature on Love My Dress, you'll notice a little pale green Pinterest image 'P' pop up. Click on it to pin that image to your own Pinterest boards.
We love Twitter – it provides a media platform for us to have a conversation with those who follow our blog every day. Almost everyone has a Twitter account these days, but if you haven't, you can still follow our tweets here!
Facebook is another fabulous way to stay in touch. With almost 15,000 followers, we've been able to develop a nice little community over on our Facebook page, where brides and industry suppliers alike can share thoughts and comments. Come follow us on Facebook right here.
Google+ is a channel we're working on developing and are watching this new social media platform's development closely. Don't be left behind – come and follow us now as we grow and invest in our presence with Google+.
Let us know what, if any improvements we can be making to help you stay connected – we're always happy to hear from our readers.
Now, if you've not seen this morning's wedding yet, tottle along! We've another blog post instalment coming up for you a little alter today too 🙂
