Brides The Show ~ *The* Catwalk Event Of The Year + Ticket Information

Less than two weeks now until Brides The Show kicks off in London.  I'm genuinely super excited about this event – not just for all the usual reasons, like, I get to see some of my favourite industry friends, suppliers and designers, but because I have a hot-seat at the catwalk event of the year, that will be showcasing some of the most wonderful bridal wear designs available to all you beautiful brides today.

Another thing I'm excited about is that I'm going to be interviewed 'on the couch' style, by Arabella Du Pont, Retail Editor of Brides Magazine on the opening night, where I'll be talking about my book, Style Me Vintage Weddings, the influence of vintage on weddings and of course, about Love My Dress and how brides can use the blog to gather inspiration and seek out amazing new suppliers for their own wedding.

But back to that catwalk show – did you know that more than 20 of the very best designers have chosen Brides The Show to showcase their latest gowns? The designers gracing the
catwalk will be; Amanda Wakeley, Phillipa Lepley, Sassi Holford, Stephanie Allin, Ian
Stuart, Ritva Westenius, Louise Selby, Naomi Neoh, Emma Hunt, Miss Bush Bridal
Wear
, Jesús Peiró, Quintana Couture,
Emma Tindley Couture, The State of Grace, Anita Massarella, Angelina Colarusso,
Katya Katya Shehurina, Caroline Castigliano, Mirror Mirror Couture, Lara
Hannah, Tobi Hannah
and Stewart Parvin. As well
as bridesmaid’s dresses by Little Bevan, Twobirds (have you seen our amazing giveaway with Twobirds?), Maids to Measure and
my all time favourite, Nicki Macfarlane
.

The catwalk show will be styled by Brides own fashion director,
Bryony Toogood….

‘For
Brides
The Show, we wanted to
consider the needs of every bride, whether city chic, country church or
barefoot on a beach. The epitome of romance, our shows will inspire, enchant
and captivate you – whatever your wedding style.’

'Details such
as sheer blousy puffed sleeves, camisole-type tops, empire lines and tiered
skirts will be mixed here and there with a palette of soft, late-summer pastels of
lilac, blush and mint.  There will be flounces of lace, organza and tulle,
billowing lightweight fabrics and slimmer silhouettes in soft chiffons and
applique – this is easy-breezy organic opulence with homespun-style gowns in
crocheted lace, crisp cottons, antique linen and vintage embroidery.
Think the lightest of looks that is laid back yet luxurious with delicate
floral details and simple adornments.'

'Designers will be showcasing their best new classics at Brides The Show
– sharply cut shapes and
statement-making silhouettes with modern details and on-trend styling
such as
the side pocket, the skinny sleeve, the inside-outside bodice and the
bateau
neck.  New fabric combinations make for a mix of textures with duchess
satin and raffia, tulle and laser-cut silk, lace, organza and beading.
Sweetheart necklines, exaggerated trumpets and strapless all
have a place but this time they're sharper, cleaner and altogether
unfussy. And
in a world where big is always beautiful, we salute the comeback of the
ultimate accessory – the all-important, all-encompassing, floor-length
veil.'
