Well hello to you all and I do so hope that you’re having a wonderful Sunday. However your weekend is going, I can promise you it’s about to get a whole lot prettier because today, I have the absolute pleasure of sharing Harriet Wilde’s beautiful collection of exquisite hair accessories with you all. I have to admit that sometimes when Annabel asks me to write a feature, I do a little dance of happiness and this is certainly one of them. Gorgeous shoes and delightful, co-ordinating hair accessories and elegant clutch bags combine to make this a feature I just know you’re going to love…
Established in 2008 by the British designer Ruth Shaw, Harriet Wilde is, frankly, everything a girl could want when looking for bridal footwear.
The designs are unique, the embellishments are super luxurious and most importantly, the shoes themselves are immaculately made and incredibly comfortable to wear. Their signature metal floral designs can be spotted on the heels of the most stylish brides and there’s no doubt that those divine shoes are by Harriet Wilde.
“With a passion and love for heels, I searched endlessly for bridal shoes for my own wedding and struggled to find designer shoes that fitted my style, a mixture of designer and vintage,” says Ruth. “Women want incredible shoes to wear on their own wedding day and that’s what I wanted to create.”
And oh my goodness, how Ruth has achieved her goal. Alongside the metallic florals, the collection always features the most elegant and stylish shoes crafted in satin, lace, tulle net and a whole range of delicate fabrics. The extraordinary designs coupled with faultless attention to detail has won Harriet Wilde a host of fans and when many brides started asking for more to complete their ensemble, Ruth couldn’t say no…
“We have launched the hair accessory range after being asked constantly by our clients if they could buy the details to match their shoes,” she explains. “The collection features the intricate floral embellishments that you’ll find on our shoes and it’s been so wonderful to create the range of ten pieces on bobby pins and combs.”
I simply adore the collection. These are hair accessories that are delicate and charming, they have a timeless appeal and an understated glamour that is nothing short of stunning. The pretty floral combs look so natural as they curve through you hair and the pins, adorned with sparkling blossoms, are altogether heavenly.
To my mind, these accessories would complement so many styles – if your wedding watchwords are ‘elegance’, ‘natural’, ‘timeless’ or ‘feminine’, then Harriet Wilde should be the top of your wishlist. Perhaps it’s time for a little New Year present to yourself…
