Wedding gowns are, to my mind, really rather magical. Sometimes, when they’re hung up in boutiques, it’s hard to imagine just how wonderful they will look when worn and sometimes, even gorgeous photos don’t quite do them justice. That’s why, to my mind, there’s absolutely no substitute for seeing them, touching them and trying them on for yourself. I have long been a fan of the luxuriously feminine gowns from BHLDN (so has Annabel – see these features here!), so I’m thrilled to bring you news of their first ever UK trunk show that will be taking place in London between 19th February and 1st March.
This is indeed the first time that BHLDN have headed to the UK and they will be bringing brides-to-be their most popular assortment of wedding gowns by super talented London based designer of the moment, Catherine Deane. The event will also showcase the superb veils by US designer, Debra Moreland and BHLDN plan to make it a very special occasion indeed.

BHLDN, Anthropologie Weddings, was founded in 2011 and they have been carefully curating their stylish edit of wedding gowns and accessories ever since. The Catherine Deane collection that will be starring in the London trunk show is almost too stunning for words. It is a delightful blend of the delicate and the ethereal where contrasting fabrics and textures combine to create a look that’s glamorous, indulgent and altogether empowering to wear.
I adore the exquisite combination of textures on gowns such as Lita and Marilyn and the dropped sleeves on both make my heart sing. Laverne with its deliciously detailed back and the bejeweled lines of Tallulah have also caught my eye whilst the shorter gowns, particularly pretty Omari have certainly put a huge smile on my face. Omelia with the fabulous scalloped edging and the understated beauty of Zaden would feature highly on my list of favourites and I predict they will be rightly popular at the BHLDN Trunk Show. Oh London, you’re going to be treated to a truly glittering event.
