Oh, have I got a midweek treat for you today because this feature combines so many fabulous elements, I hardly know where to start. A brand new wedding dress collection, stunning images, a talented British designer and the most wonderful balletic influences are all here for you to enjoy. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to En Pointe, the beautiful new collection from Sabina Motasem…
From her studio in Islington, London, Sabina Motasem has been designing and creating luxurious wedding dresses since 2006. Sabina’s gowns are always understated yet completely luxurious – the flawless silks are incredibly flattering and the cut and drape of each dress is superb.
And En Pointe has certainly continued this tradition in fine style. The collection has a movement and flow that’s simply exquisite, as you’ll certainly see from the images starring the National Ballet’s Katie Byrne. The gowns are timeless yet modern, incredibly wearable yet undeniably glamorous.
“I’ve taken inspiration from ballet for this collection,” explains Sabina. “A ballerina, just like a bride, encapsulates elegance, grace and beauty and the dresses emphasise my brides’ gracefulness.”
“The dresses from the En Pointe collection have been named after iconic and inspirational women such as Anna Pavlova, Josephine Baker, Colette and Loie Fuller. There’s a story behind every design.”
And there’s also a design for every bride. From demure halter necks and strapless gowns with contrast satin and crepe silk bands to the luxe Emillienne with art nouveau beaded neck detail, Loie, a cowl neck gown with a plunging back and draped skirt and, my personal favourite, the divine Josephine. There are also heavenly separates that slip over many of the dresses and transform their look completely. Choose from corded lace or delicate chiffon bodices, sashes and beaded belts with crystals or pearls.
“I love the passion that comes from ballet,” says Sabina. “The collection is sophisticated, refined and indulgent. Each dress is handcrafted in London and made from the finest silk crepes, chiffons, satins and French laces to achieve the highest quality finish.”
“We’ve carefully designed the separates and accessories that accompany the En Point collection to truly compliment each dress, giving our brides the chance to totally transform their look from day to night.
