Well hello Sunday, it’s so lovely to see you, and so lovely to have you hear too dear wedding blog readers. I am so unbelievably proud this morning that I’ve been asked to share this set of images with you. They showcase the very latest collection, launched this weekend, by Copenhagen based designer Jannie Baltzer.
Jannie is someone I have been inspired by and thoroughly enjoyed working with for several years now. One of those naturally talented designers, brilliant business woman and all-round very lovely human being indeed – her work regularly features in the likes of Vogue magazine and her designers are a favourite amongst modern day brides who appreciate a delicate and elegant hand-crafted element to their chosen bridal accessories.

Jannie Baltzer’s newest collection for 2016 is in my view, perfection. Exquisite in every way. Each piece is unique, delicate and just completely drop-dead beautiful. So much love and energy is invested into creating each piece, and the result is an intricate, wonderfully balanced look that combines styling cues from bygone eras with a fashion-forward edge that’s simply sublime for modern brides.
Jannie describes her new collection as a ‘tribute to Scandinavian style’, and this lightness of design, combined with a simple yet boho feel makes it something very special indeed. You’ll find botanical inspiration and almost rustic touches alongside lots of texture and opulent Preciosa crystals. It’s an utterly delicious collection from start to finish.
“I love the lightness of Scandinavian nature and design and was inspired to combine the natural elements of beauty and a Swedish summer with a celebratory feel. This is all about a couple, just the two of them, having the most wonderful time, feeling free, laughing and being in love.”
I really have a lot of time and love for Jannie Baltzer and it was extra special having the opportunity to meet and hang out with her last year during a business trip to Copenhagen. I was secretly thrilled that one of my long-time design heroines was even lovelier in person that I had hoped she would be.
Having an opportunity to talk about Jannie’s craft, the painstaking level of hours invested into each piece and her passion for working with brides was really uplifting.
Part of the appeal for me with Jannie’s creations is that they transcend trends and have a beautiful, timeless signature style all of their own. I could recognise a Jannie Baltzer piece if it were set alongside 100 other creations, I’m pretty sure.
“I don’t really follow trends as such,” explains Jannie. “Yes, I’m always totally up to date with what’s happening in the bridal world but I tend to follow my own style and trust in my own ability to create something unique for every collection and, most of all, to be different.”
I am so thrilled to have been able to showcase Jannie Baltzer’s new collection with you here today on Love My Dress and I hope that Jannie’s extraordinary talent shines through in this feature because she really is a very special person who creates the most remarkable bridal accessories and I am privileged to know her.
