I know that many of our readers are deeply in love with Claire Pettibone gowns and if that includes you, well who could blame you? Claire is rare breed of designer – a true visionary whose ethereal and whimsical signature is the epitome of femininity and elegance. I can always tell a Claire Pettibone gown a mile off – her dreamy aesthetic is easily identifiable. But I also appreciate that not all brides who adore Claire’s gowns might be able to afford a couture price tag. If this person is you, then are you aware that Claire also has a less expensive, but nonetheless just as elegant collection available that goes by the name of ‘Romantique’?
Claire has just launched her latest collection under her ‘Romantique by Claire Pettibone’ brand. Entitled ‘Into the Sunset’, the collection features vintage lace patterns, a nod to pioneer style, accented with a touch of bandit black.
“After years of designing my couture collections, we knew there were so many brides who loved my aesthetic, but might not have the couture budget, so Romantique was created with this in mind. “Into the Sunset” is our second season, and along with the first “Bohemian Rhapsody” collection, we’re finding the dresses are really resonating with our clients. I’m so happy to produce these dresses in our hometown here in Los Angeles, and know that we are offering something really special with Romantique.“

“I took inspiration from the untamed romance of the old west”, says Claire, “land of windblown prairies and endless possibilities. I always love to tell a story with my collection, and this season is all about that quiet, big sky mood, and the stillness that I find dreaming about another time and place.”

“The photos that Sarah Kate captured in this spare, slightly distressed setting are very peaceful, and yes, utterly romantic, and really interpret the spirit of the collection.”
“When I design the collection, I have a few muses in mind: boho babe, garden nymph, and modern Victorian to name a few! I am constantly inspired by the variety and beauty of my clients, while always remaining true to my own vision of feminine beauty.”
“The Romantique bride is stylish, feminine, and a bit of a free spirit. Amazing women, with quite a variety of looks and styles, but they share a common desire to express their individuality on their wedding day. Ultimately, there is no one ‘type’, and the gowns can be so personalised by the way a bride styles her look, and just her own vibe that shines through.”
“I always say to my clients, ‘Don’t try to be something that isn’t you, just because you’re a bride’. Think about what you have consistently been drawn to your whole life. The things that we love as a child and along our path, speak to us in a way that is beyond fashion and trends, so try to incorporate details that resonate deeply. It’s a very meaningful day, so make sure your gown reflects who you are, and who you will be in this beautiful partnership.”
