Hello loves, I’m delighted to welcome you to sunny Australia this fine Sunday. Meet Mr and Mrs Webster, Telisha and Sam, who married at Maison La Plage Grove in Noosa, Queensland on the 13th June followed by an afternoon reception at Sails Restaurant. The day was planned by the team at Eloquent Weddings and these images come to us courtesy of photographer Gavin Wyatt, who captured the clean and fresh feel of the day on film.
Telisha wore a bespoke gown by ethical wedding dress designer, Sanyukta Shrestha. The dress was a bespoke creation, that drew on elements of two of designer Sanyukta’s gowns from her latest ‘Modern Muse’ collection (the ‘Felicia’ and ‘Esperia’ gowns). The result is a super feminine, chic and elegant dress with a loosely draped, crossover bodice that flattered Telisha to perfection. With those bouquets in whites and neutrals and her maids in the palest of pink dresses, the whole day oozed the kind of effortless elegance we love and adore here at Love My Dress.
“Honestly, I have never felt so unbelievably glamorous yet so comfortable in my life. The fabric used in my Sanyukta Shrestha gown was a lightweight beautiful silk that was incredibly smooth yet felt like wearing nothing (in a good way) and because of the bespoke design process, my gown fit me better than any item of clothing I’ve ever owned.”

“I felt like I was floating on air the whole day and my husband absolutely loved it as well. Thank you so much Sanyukta Shrestha for making me feel like an absolute goddess on my wedding day.”
“We knew what sort of feel and styling we didn’t want and so throughout the planning process just focused on finding things that were aesthetically appealing to us and congruent with who we are as a couple. Working collaboratively with our florist, stylist and reception venue really helped us firm up our styling. We were amazed at how much they were able to narrow in on what would suit us despite our vague (and contradictory) statements of what we wanted: something classic, sophisticated, elegant, beautiful, intimate and original.”
On her feet Telisha wore ‘Margot’ by Benjamin Adams London and for jewellery, earrings from Carat London.
“My super-sweet Mum created a bouquet charm with blue ribbon, featuring her family pin (something old and something borrowed) and a pendant containing a picture and message from my late-brother (something new) as a surprise. It was subtle and perfect.”
The bridesmaids looked lovely in pale pink ‘Diana’ dresses by Pia Gladys Perey via White Runway.
Make up was the work of Claire from The Beauty Spot, while hair was by Bethany Prickett and Love Bird Weddings.
The couple chose to have a ‘first look‘ prior to their ceremony. I often wish my husband and I had done the same for our own wedding a few years ago. It’s amazing seeing your love at the other end of the aisle, but equally, I would have loved that first moment together on our wedding day to be shared in private as well. What do you think?
“Sam was super sneaky in proposing. It was two weeks before Christmas and he had taken me on a surprise trip to Paris the weekend before, where everyone was expecting him to propose and he didn’t. The following weekend we went ice skating at the Natural History Museum (something I’ve wanted to do since moving to London) and for a late dinner at Bibendum in Kensington – a fitting venue given we both like Art Deco architecture and he is a mad Formula 1 fan.”

“We were reminiscing on what a great year we had had together and how it would be difficult to top it, when he very subtly extracted the ring, slipped it on my finger and asked me to be his wife. I was so shocked it took me about two minutes to reply.”
Sam looked very smart in a blue suit with white shirt, which he paired with shoes by Oliver Sweeney and cufflinks from Links of London.
The gorgeous flowers in shades of white and mixed greenery were the work of Terianne of Mondo Floral Designs.
The ceremony took place outside under the trees in sight and sound of the beach- just glorious. Telisha was preceded down the aisle by her bridesmaids, before following them hand in hand with both her Mum and Dad.
After exchanging vows, Telisha and Sam swapped rings, which they purchased from Madisons of Hatton Garden, London.
Catering was all provided by Sails Restaurant. I do love the idea of a lunchtime reception- so sophisticated.
The evening party isn’t for everyone, so why not do exactly what suits you as couple?
Words of Wedded Wisdom
“Choose a dress that you feel comfortable in and, if you can, work with a boutique rather than a chain.”
“the attention to detail and individualised service you will receive really takes the stress out of the purchasing process and I feel you end up with a better quality and value for money overall.”
So many thanks to Telisha and Sam and of course to Gavin Wyatt for sharing this most lovely of days with us all. I have the sound of the sea in my head now… Take a peek here for more beach side wedding inspiration.
Much love,
