Welcome to Lulu Browns, Lancashire’s Award-Winning Bridal Boutique

Our team

Hello my lovelies and after everything that this past weekend has thrown at us, I just wanted to take the opportunity to send a little extra love to you. Whether you’re in London, the UK or anywhere else around the world, let’s all do our bit to make sure that love wins.

Today, I’m here to introduce you to Lulu Browns, a fantastic bridal boutique in Lancashire and its owner, Helen Lord, who is, as you’ll see, pretty fabulous…

Throughout June, there is a 10% saving available on all Justin Alexander gowns at Lulu Browns

You’ll find Lulu Browns in the beautiful Ribble Valley in Lancashire and once you step inside, you’ll be met by a wonderful, passionate and patient team who has a genuine desire to just make people happy. Lulu Browns’ edit of dresses includes the latest collections from Jesus Peiro, Eliza Jane Howell, Blue by Enzoani, Kenneth Winston, Justin Alexander and Sincerity plus some absolutely stunning designs from Lilian West, Grace Philips, Gemy Maalouf and Ella Rose. Intrigued? You should be. Spoilt for choice? You most certainly will be.

Now, let me hand you over to Helen to tell you more about Lulu Browns and her own love of bridal…

“I opened Lulu Browns twelve years ago armed with a business loan from my parents, an obsession with bridal fashion and a misplaced sense of optimism (the recession hit 12 months later!). I threw open my doors with a clear goal in mind – to own and run a successful bridal business providing an industry-leading service to brides and their families founded on passion, enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise, and it’s a vision that is still front and centre of all I continue to do for Lulu’s today.”

Our team

“We fully renovated the building Lulu’s occupies to create a peerless bridal boutique which includes 3 private fitting rooms with plenty of space for our brides and their family and friends to enjoy the experience of choosing a dream gown.”

“Our beautifully-appointed boutique is a small, but perfectly formed space, and there is nothing I love more than walking in and hearing the laughter and chatter of excited brides and their families bouncing off the walls.”

One of the things I love most about Helen and the team at Lulu’s is that they totally understand that choosing the right bridal boutique is an integral part of the whole wedding dress experience.

“You have to feel confident that where you are purchasing your gown from has the knowledge and experience to handle any situations that may arise and, being one of the most awarded and acclaimed bridal retailers in the UK, it delights me that so many brides choose to place their full trust in Lulu Browns.”

“For us, its not just about excellent customer service on the day you purchase your gown. We pride ourselves on providing a truly memorable experience that lasts for your whole journey with us, and our numerous customer service awards from recent years are testament to this.  From the moment you first walk through our door, to the day you leave with your gown ready for your big day, you are our only priority.”

That focus on giving clients just what they want extends into the designers and collections that Helen has chosen to bring to Lulus.

“Bridal fashion is a little different in the most wonderful way. Quite simply, there are no rules! My signature style at Lulu’s is “A little bit of everything” and I buy what I love. To curate a collection that is filled with different shapes, sizes and fabrics is incredibly fun and, inevitably, it involves taking risks, but it ensures we don’t end up with a shop full of duplicated styles.”

Helen’s commitment to pushing everything forward and making sure Lulu Browns remains totally focused on the bride is what’s so impressive. It’s no surprise that Lulu Browns has picked up a host of awards including one for their outstanding customer service. For example, when you visit, you’ll have a private and uninterrupted two-hour appointment with one of the team. There’s no hurry, no pressure, just expert advice and an experience you’ll adore.

In short, I’m now a paid-up member of the Lulu Browns fan club. I love the fact that Helen hosts regular training days for her staff with designers so they can give brides the best help and advice, I love that Helen says her staff are “one of Lulu’s biggest blessings” and, most of all, I love that this woman followed her dream and is so committed to making everyone’s bridal experience special.

“Twelve years, and with Lulu’s having succeeded beyond all my expectations, it appears my optimism was so not misplaced after all.”
