Hello lovelies! I love when a wedding lands in my inbox and I can immediately feel the warmth and laughter radiating from the imagery.
When I first saw today’s photo’s, I could see that our bride and groom have an incredibly fun nature and am so looking forward to sharing their wedding with you. So without further ado, introducing our newlyweds. Abbie and Callum said their I Do’s at the Redhouse Barn in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. After wedding plans were initially thwarted by the joyous arrival of their son, the pair were back on track in no time and were married on 15th September 2017.
“The most important thing to us was to create a relaxed, fun and personal atmosphere. Our friend conducted the ceremony and we decided to add a naming ceremony for Finlay. It seemed like too good a chance to miss. We also sang Our Song by Elton John which meant a lot to us, and had a reading called Touched By An Angel by Maya Angelou.”

Abbie’s stunning tea length dress with sheer polka dot overlay was designed and made by Sesay Bridalwear based in London. Featuring mid-length sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and intricate lace detailing, it was the perfect gown for our relaxed bride.
“I like my legs hence why I wanted a shorter dress. Christina at Sesay designed it based on my favourite elements of other dresses I’d seen. I loved the movement and the fit.”Abbie paired the dress with a pair of Cole Haan peep toe heels, a floral headpiece made from off cuts of the dress and delicate jewellery borrowed from family and friends. Abbie’s hair and make up by Karen Mason complimented her bridal look beautifully
“My friend did the flowers – they were beautifully simple and seasonal”.
“We met over ten years ago at a party but we didn’t get together until 2015. A year later we were engaged, however wedding plans were then interrupted by the arrival of Finlay in October 2016. The wedding had to wait until September this year!”
Preceding the bride down the aisle were the couple’s angelic flower girls dressed in full-skirted white dresses from John Lewis.
The bride danced down the aisle with her dad to Hot August Night by Neil Diamond. A friend then conducted the ceremony before the couple recited vows written by themselves and exchanged rings by Simon Lewis from The Diamond Shop in Hatton Garden.
The groom wore a traditionally Scottish kilt with waistcoat and suit jacket all from MacGregor and Macduff, and a boutonniere made from daisies and greenery by Abbie’s friend and florist Anna Brian.
Once the ceremony was over, the newlyweds and their guests made their way to the reception drinks garden where they were greeted with gorgeous sunny weather and fruity cocktails served in milk bottles.
Today’s gorgeous photo’s came from Liz Baker Photography who I think you’ll agree, did a fabulous job capturing the love, laughs and fun atmosphere of the day, with Canadian Film Lab capturing it all on film.
Catering was provided by Morgans Catering and the wedding breakfast room was beautifully dressed with green and white floral centerpieces positioned on mirrored glass circles.
“It’s hard to say what my favourite part of the day was but I always love the speeches at weddings, when they’re good!”
Words Of Wedded Wisdom
“Don’t sweat the small stuff! Focus on what is really important to you and let the other stuff go!”.
Thank you Abbie and Callum for sharing your wonderful day with us and of course, to Liz Baker for the gorgeous photo’s.
Until next time…
Much love,
Holly x
