What a pleasure this afternoon to be able to share the work of this talented creative team of wedding suppliers.
These images capture the vibe and essence that is at the core of Love My Dress; modern, effortless elegance. From the hair to the attention to detail paid to the table decor, everything is not only sublime but offers a completely achievable style for your own wedding. Handing you over to Rachel Overall of Mirabella Weddings, who is to thank for the vision and overall execution of these lovely scenes.
“Situated in the remote French countryside of France’s Loire Valley, the beautiful Chateau de la Ruche has newly opened as a wedding venue, following careful restoration by British owners Tim & Rebecca to restore it to its former glory.”

“Having recently featured on Channel 4’s ‘Escape to the Chateau’, they are now offering intimate weddings and elopements, with an incredible barn currently being converted for larger weddings next year.”
“The elegant chateau is packed full of personality and French charm, retaining many of its original features, from the glistening chandeliers through to the large marble fireplaces. I wanted the shoot to embrace the romantic and luxurious feel of the chateau, and so designed an ‘evening look’ perfect for a glamorous wedding celebration that could go on well into the night of this exclusive-hire venue.”
“Being France, fashion was the key focal point – we chose ‘Cherry’ by Alon Livné White, from Morgan Davies Bridal, which fitted the bill perfectly. Made from crepe and the finest silk, with its off-the-shoulder cut, fitted silhouette and high side slit, it was glamorous yet oh-so-sophisticated and perfect for the look we were creating. The look was finished with classic Hollywood waves and a bold, red statement lip by Storme Makeup & Hair for the ultimate French chic style.”
“In terms of styling, we created an elegant table setting in the salon – contrasting dark blue crockery with warm gold cutlery and gold-edged stationery. Flowers were kept to neutral tones, with off-whites and elegant hints of blush tones. To add to the intimate feel, candles were a key feature, running along the table and clustered on the fireplace.”
