For brides who find themselves drawn to wedding dresses with character, history and the unmistakable presence of the hand that made them, this Ibiza bridal fashion editorial offers a closer look at what bespoke design can become.

Photographed at Puig de Missa in Santa Eulària by Love My Dress recommended supplier Clarissa Sofía Studio, with video and film stills provided by Maddi Jean Waterhouse, the story centres on Sylvie, a one-of-a-kind bridal gown created by Julita London as part of her Dear. series. It is a dress made for brides who want to begin with an idea, a fabric or an instinct and work directly with a designer to create something entirely their own.

Clarissa photographed model Suzana on 35mm and medium format film, preserving the texture of the antique lace, crochet trims and intricate handwork that make Sylvie so distinctive. The setting, one of Ibiza’s historic hilltop churches, brings the dress into a space shaped by age, craft and generations of human hands without allowing the architecture to overpower it.

Below, Julita shares the story that led to Sylvie and explains the wider Dear. series while Clarissa and Maddi introduce the artistic work they bring to wedding photography and film.

Set within the soft whitewashed walls and stone arches of this historic Mediterranean church, our editorial story leads with stillness and light.

We wanted the photographs to speak to devotion not as religion, but as reverence for beauty, craftsmanship, and self. These images are a reflection on presence, a bride being in a moment of pause, surrounded by sacred beauty, fully in the act of becoming.

Created with a team of London and Ibiza-based creatives, at its centre are the bespoke pieces by Julita London, where lace and beadwork construct an ethereal world. Photographed on 35mm and medium format film by Clarissa Sofía Studio, and a short film by multifaceted talent Maddi Jean Waterhouse, the work embraces imperfection, movement and atmosphere as part of its language.

Model Suzana wears Sylvie, a bridal gown from Julita London’s Dear. series. The collection brings together a series of original couture pieces created to show brides what can be achieved through Julita’s bespoke design process in London.

The Dear. series draws on old love letters, faded photographs, vintage textiles and jewellery gathered over time.

Each gown is developed as an individual piece, with its own name, materials and story, using antique lace, silk, pearls and decorative details to explore ideas that could later be developed into a bride’s own bespoke wedding dress.

Sylvie was inspired by the history of lacemaking and the generations of women whose skill was passed down through their hands.

The gown is made using antique lace and crochet trims sourced from markets and ateliers, with a bodice finished with vintage pearls and a single golden beaded flower framed by lace ruffles.

The sleeves end in layered statement cuffs, adding structure and movement to the delicacy of the lace.

Sylvie is not intended as a dress to be reproduced exactly, but as an example of Julita London’s creative approach and an invitation for brides to begin imagining a gown designed around their own ideas, references and personal style.
