Broadfield is an exclusive use venue which can be hired for two nights or more to host your celebrations. And at Broadfield, your wedding is completely your own. You choose your style, your numbers, your suppliers, your food, your drink and your locations, and we help you every step of the way to make your celebrations perfect. We provide full flexibility for you to create a day to suit you, but with all the planning and support of an exclusive venue.

Your ceremony

Couples looking for an idyllic place to marry have so many wonderful options.

Broadfield has five acres of stunning gardens in the midst of a private estate, so couples often choose to immerse themselves in their surroundings with an outdoor wedding. The abundant David Austin rose garden, the magical woodland with its dappled light, the traditional Herefordshire orchard or the sun drenched lawns are all beautiful locations to marry, with weddings from two to 175 able to take place.

For an indoor wedding, the elegant wood paneled dining room with its huge stone fireplace and views over the rose garden can seat up to 60, and the sun-filled inner hall seats up to 50. For larger numbers, Broadfield’s fold yard with its distinctive hexagonal structure can seat up to 150. Either with just its high, flag-topped roof, or with its walls enclosing your guests for bad weather days, the fold yard is a captivating garden room style space.

Cocktail hour

A favourite spot for the drinks reception is often Broadfield’s large south facing terrace, which leads down into the rose garden and the grounds beyond. Or, if the weather is not so kind, the house’s inner and outer halls work wonderfully – and should the weather call for it, the open log fires can be lit to lend to the grand but cosy atmosphere.

Your wedding breakfast and reception

For intimate weddings of up to 50, Broadfield’s dining room is a beautiful space, capturing the historical majesty of the house. After dinner, guests can dance and celebrate in the bar. For up to around 90, Broadfield’s fold yard structure creates an glorious outdoor feel with its sides removed, or a cosy indoor space with its walls on, even in chillier months. After dinner, guests can enjoy the grounds or house while the space is reset for an evening of festivities.

For over that number or for those wanting a different space, a tipi or marquee over-looking the gorgeous Herefordshire countryside is ideal, accommodating up to around 170 guests comfortably and can be chosen from any supplier to suit your style and budget. And of course, the marquee or tipi can be heated to keep you all snug should you be planning a wedding for the cooler months, so you can dine and dance the night away in complete comfort.

Your suppliers

Couples can choose any suppliers they wish to suit their taste, style and budget, including caterers, whether you prefer fine dining, street food or anything in between. Of course, we have fabulous recommendations for local caterers and those further afield, and provide full planning and logistics support with all suppliers.

Your stay

At the end of the night, where better to retire to than one of our nine beautiful bedrooms. All individually designed with comfy beds and luxury bathrooms, your loved ones can stay with you for two nights or more to really make the most of your wedding celebrations. With exclusive hire, the house, gardens and grounds are completely yours – your very own country estate for the duration of your stay. And you have the freedom to self cater or to be catered for, whatever works best for you.

We also have our lovely three bedroomed coach house available to book by the couple or by their family or friends. The whole estate can sleep up to 31 guests.

Planning

At Broadfield, planning is included, with the venue’s dedicated, family-run team with you from first viewing until the wedding day and beyond, providing as much or as little support as you need to turn your dreams into reality.
