Oh how I love Monsoon Bridal. Their dresses always represent something a little more glamorous than their high-street nature would suggest, and whilst their ready-to-wear collection can push the expensive side, their Bridal Collection is an absolutely fantastic example of how you CAN pull off an elegant designer look on your wedding day, without breaking the bank. Infact, the most expensive Monsoon Bridal gown is an meagre 250!
And it's not only wedding gowns on offer, Monsoon
Bridal have a fabulous selection of Bridesmaids and Flower-girl Dresses, Shoes, Wedding Day Separates and Accessories – making this a perfect one-stop-shop for the budget savvy Bride who wants to achieve that wow factor on her special day.
What I particularly love about this collection of Bridal gowns is their elegant structure – the empire lines, the grecian effect on the maxi dresses, the sparkly embellishments – I could go on, but needless to say, i's indeed official, I am a BIG Monsoon
Bridal fan.

I particularly love the halter-neck style above left – all that silky satin fabric would look fabulous on bronzed skin!
And here's a clever idea. Who said only the Bride can wear white? Style savvy Brides these days are experimenting with more and more non-traditional ideas (check Kat Williams' Rock n' Roll Bride website out for THE best inspiration in town for non-traditional weddings), but take a look at what our very own Love My Dress contributor Cat Hepple did on her Grace Kelly inspired wedding day – her Bridesmaids dresses were actually wedding gowns from Monsoon
Bridal! Don't all her girls look absolutely drop-dead beautiful in their gowns?

Short and Sassy!
These beautifully embellished and embroidered little numbers would look good on anyone proud of their pins – Bride or not! Look beach-ready chic with a pair of embellished flats, or add a sense of height with an amazing pair of colourful heels. There are no rules – it's your wedding day! 🙂
Beautiful Bridesmaids…
Of course, almost any dress from Monsoon would make a pretty Bridesmaids dress, but here are some of our favourites form the Monsoon
Bridal collection…
…and not forgetting the flower girls 🙂
My little girl was one of my Bridesmaids at our March 2009 wedding – and her dress was also from Monsoon – I think she looks pretty cute! :) Infact, this was one of the very first wedding purchases I made – I loved the 'mink' colour and pretty much everything else had to work around this colour once I'd found these dresses!

There is a whole collection of matching Flower-girl/Baby shoes,
accessories and separates here (and here, for the baby flower-girl). It's utterly delightful – and I can
tell you from having visited the actual shop many times, that the
website photographs don't really do these pieces much justice…
Shoes!
There are a lovely selection of very flattering mid to high heel shoes at Monsoon
Bridal – and with prices varying between £55 and £60, these would make a super addition to your wedding-day wardrobe – without, once more, leaving you penniless in the process…
Separates…
I LOVE these feather shrugs – very 1930's art-deco elegance….
So all in all, Monsoon
Bridal is most definitely a store I would recommend visiting if you are on a tighter budget for your wedding dress and accessories etc. If you find your dress in Monsoon
Bridal, but the fit isn't ideal, you can always find a local seamstress to make any adjustments for you to ensure that perfect wedding day fit (do ask in store for any seamstress recommendations – most stores will be able to recommend one – don't pay a fortune though – the very best seamstresses are usually the ones that don't widely advertise and are hidden away above the local high-fashion store in town!). Even the most extensive of adjustements to the most important areas (length, underarm, bust) should not set you back more than £100.
Monsoon-Marriage love to you all 🙂
