Introducing Cat Hepple, Photographer & Guest Blogger…

I have a motto I live by – you can never be TOO glamorous, and so Love My Dress is a completely natural place for me to be.

I am absolutely thrilled to be contributing to this Blog, it is after all the chance to source and write about truly beautiful and unusual finds and to share them with readers.

I was married in August 2008, and spent 20 months planning every meticulous detail. My inspiration for the day was Grace Kelly, and I was always searching for the perfect elements to bring this theme alive in a chic and sophisticated way. It was the most fun! Love My Dress would have been a fabulous resource if only it had existed then.

Since my Wedding,my life has had something of a transformation. Up until last month, I was a National TV news correspondent for BBC News, a role I'd had for around 13 years. But a chance came my way to leave and set up a photography business – something I had been considering for quite a while. I am a great believer in 'fortune favouring the brave' and I took the enormous decision to change careers, just a few months ago. So Cat Hepple photography has emerged, my new venture, focussing on fabulous images from babies to couples, weddings to fashion shoots.

I am enjoying every second of it. My time as a journalist taught me so much, and its amazing how many of the skills I learnt are still useful to me now in my new role. The most important one?…always tell the story – and that is exactly what my photography is now all about.

But it doesn't end there. Life is going to change yet again for me in the next few months – I am certainly not a girl to do things by halves- I am expecting my first baby in early April. I am both hugely excited and terrified, at this most overwhelming of life events heading my way. One thing is for sure, this baby will be well photographed and thanks to Love My Dress, will also always have a stylish Mother!
