Well happy Friday morning lovers! Hopefully you got to see yesterdays late, yet luminous and absolutely beautiful wedding photographed by Naomi Kenton? Promise me you will if you haven't already.
It seems ages since I featured a wedding by the most delectable Emma Case and I've been dying to feature a bride wearing a gown from The Vintage Wedding Dress Company in such a long time now, so this morning's feature is a bit of a double delight for me.
Edward & Interior Stylist Imogen's wedding took place on 20th July 2012 with a ceremony at Wells Town Hall in Somerset, followed by a reception in a field in the nearby village where Imogen grew up.
"My dress was from The Vintage Wedding Dress Company. It included
vintage lace and custom made cap sleeves. I loved it because it was
simple, elegant, glamourous and also classic/timeless in design…"

"We were introduced by my two bridesmaids who tried a bit of
matchmaking – it paid off! The proposal was pretty good – Swimming in the
natural pool at the base of Angel Falls in Venezuela."
Imogen's bridesmaids all wore original vintage dresses…
How pretty are these shoes from BHLDN?
I totally adore this table plan idea…
"I
sourced all the decor styling elements myself and gradually built up
collections of vintage silverware cutlery and side plates, also other
vintage props from flea markets etc mostly bought but also Hired some
vintage furniture and props from Vintage Style Hire – Kate is lovely!"
"Bella and Fifi
did a stunning job on all my bouquets and buttonholes- They source all
flowers from local growers and I loved their natural, vintage and
romantic style. I bought and styled the flowers for the reception
myself."
"We
were aiming for
French Vintage/blush tones throughout the wedding – I used to be a
interiors stylist and am currently working as a Visual Merchandiser but
with ambitions to start my own wedding styling business. I thoroughly
enjoyed every second of the research/sourcing and set up – although I
admit it was also just a tad stressful!
Whilst I was researching I started blogging some ideas which I’m hoping to take up again and further develop a website for the future."
"Our wedding cake was made by a old school friend locally
– it had three delicious flavurs; carrot, lemon and vanilla. We wanted
something simple and elegant."
"We wanted the location of our wedding to be personal to us and
so we chose a field in the village where I grew up to host our
reception. My Husband has now
also grown very fond of the area. The view from the reception field is
breathtaking with panoramic views across Somerset including Glastonbury
Tor.
"Our photographer was Emma Case, who perfectly captured the day for us and is a thoroughly lovely person."
"My Mother gave me away – we walked down the aisle together to the sound of local guitarist, Tony Lewis."
"Our
first dance was to Reef’s ‘Consideration’. This is a favourite song
from my youth, and it was amazing to actually have Gary Stringer singing
it to us for our first dance!"
Awww, how wonderful is all of this? I just absolutely love it, totally love it! Thank you so much Emma for sharing these really beautiful photographs, and huge congratulations Imogen and Ed, I am genuinely so happy for you both.
