I’m a little excited this morning to be announcing that we are now recruiting for a brand new team of Lovettes! For those of you unsure what on earth I’m talking about, where have you beeeen? We launched our Lovettes project last January, when we invited our readers to become blogging brides and share their experiences of wedding planning through Love My Dress.
This gorgeous little gang of brides* soon became affectionately know as ‘The Lovettes’ and we’ve had a wonderful time over the past year getting to know each of these beautiful and intelligent ladies as we follow them through the various stages of planning a wedding. One of our Lovettes, Madeleine, is now blissfully married having tied the knot in New York with a ceremony and celebration back in the UK too. Lindsey is due to tie the knot in March and the beautiful Kay is set to become wed in August this year. You can follow all their stories here.
So now, we’re looking to extend our team of blogging brides by recruiting more of you to blog about your upcoming 2015/16 weddings! I’m so excited about that!
I’m so deeply proud of this blog and the community that has developed around it over the past five years. I love how our readers engage through blog comments, through tweeting and joining in the conversation on our Facebook page, and more recently, through being a part of our growing Instagram community. If you’re not following Love My Dress on Instagram yet, you must! It’s my absolutely favourite social media platform by far.
As we said last year when recruiting for our inaugural team of Lovettes, we know there is an intelligent, articulate and deeply stylish group of women tuning in to Love My Dress on a regular basis, and I kind of feel that it’s part of my role now to tap in to this precious resource in a way that will benefit all our readers. And that’s where you come in.
We are looking for between 4 and 6 brides-to-be to become members of our team of ‘Lovettes’. As an integral part of our team, you’ll be charged with sharing the highs and lows of planning your wedding. The position will give you the opportunity to seek advice from and share inspiration with your fellow readers and thousands of other Love My Dress readers all over the world.
Through a regular feature on Love My Dress column, each new Lovette will take turns to write about every aspect of their unique journey towards the main event. You can see how our inaugural team of Lovettes have done this year. But we can’t wait to read about your adventures!
So, if you are due to be married from 1st June 2015 onwards, have a flair for writing, and can commit to contributing one blog post at least every 6 to 8 weeks, then we want to hear from you. You’ll be given plenty of guidance and support once you’re on board, and we might even throw in a few exclusive treats for our new team members too.
To enter to become a 2015 Lovette, please complete the form below by no later than midnight on Sunday 8th February 2015. We will be shortlisting entries from Monday 9th February and notifying our chosen Lovettes by the Wednesday or Thursday that week. We will then formally announce our new team of LOvettes on the blot on Saturday 14th February, which also happens to be Valentines day 🙂
