Candy Anthony Boutique Closing Down Sale – Save up to 70%

A quick lunch time post for you my lovelies to share a little joyful news amid this utterly dreary and dismal day. British bridal designer, Candy Anthony, is closing the doors to their Oxo Tower Wharf boutique after 13 years and in the process, is selling off a range of their exquisite 1950’s and 1960’s inspired short wedding dresses.

This is a truly excellent opportunity to get your hands on a gown like any of those you see in this feature (we’ve taken time to trawl our Candy Anthony archives to bring you images of all our lovely real brides wearing one of Candy’s divine gowns).

Candy Anthony was the first modern bridal designer to embrace vintage before it became a trend. Her passion lies in creating short, tea length, vintage and retro inspired wedding and special occasion gowns, many of them featuring her fabulous full-skirt twirl signature.

The label, which was established in 2004, produces original, handcrafted, versatile and timeless vintage inspired luxury wedding dresses and special occasion gowns, lace and tulle overlays, boleros, coordinated shoes and accessories too.Candy has been setting the tea-length trend in the bridal industry for over thirteen years, and continues to develop and refine her niche style every day. Her 1950’s and 1960’s style short wedding dresses and overlays, set the highest standards in the industry and are absolutely adored by brides, as the images in this feature illustrate.

The exclusivity of Candy’s designs, the excellent artisan workmanship, the ultimate comfort, the impeccable fit and luxurious quality together with the affordable prices of her product range, are all key to the company’s success and brand reputation.

I have worked with Candy Anthony – she features in my book on vintage weddings, published back in 2013 – if you have a copy, take a look at the 1950’s chapter. It was a pleasure and joy to work with Candy’s gowns for this shoot and I’m incredibly proud that she was a part of the book’s huge success.

The industry leadership of Candy Anthony’s small family run business is the result of her driving obsession for detail and perfection. Her unique gowns may inspire many, but they will never be equalled. The original designs, the perfect fit and the five star service are simply the result of years of expertise and above all, the infinite love and passion for what she’s decided to dedicate her life to.

This may be a boutique closing down sale, but it is absolutely not the end of this wonderfully British brand. Just like any other business, Candy is evolving and adjusting her business to better suit her clients’s needs. Candy is currently busy developing a completely new range of luxurious and enticing gowns, shoes and accessories that are, by all accounts (and secret snippets that have been shared with us so far) a real work of art.

Lovers of beautiful retro inspired bridal fashion will be in heaven!
