I love a winter wedding. There are no expectations on the weather and you can just get on with creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for your guests.
Mr and Mrs Hall, a software consultant, and an underwriter, tied the knot on the 25th of February 2017 at the gorgeous Le Petit Château in Northumberland and they did just that. There’s a wonderfully cosy country feel about their wedding day, perfectly captured by their photographer Andy Hudson.
Photography by Andy Hudson
Andy Hudson Photography was the photographer of choice for the couple. There’s a real fun feel to the images, especially those of the couple after the ceremony. Andy captured the emotions of the bride and groom and their guests during the speeches brilliantly.
“We would 100% recommend our photographer Andy. He was great on the day and we are so pleased with our photos.”
I adore the floral arrangements by Floral Quarter in Gosforth. The bridesmaids carried dried lavender bouquets, with the bridal bouquet also comprising a mix of lighter flowers and rich green foliage. The flowers around the venue were a mix of flowers with a natural feel to compliment the venue.
Peeping out from beneath her dress, Mrs Hall wore the most amazing pair of truffle faux feather sandals from ASOS.
The bridesmaids look fantastic in their navy Debenhams multiway dresses with New Look shoes and sprigs of gypsophila in their hair. The bride also gifted them beautiful gold plated bumble bee pendant necklaces from the silverrainsilver shop on Etsy.
The bride looks sensational in her Enzoani dress from Accent Bridal in Newcastle. She borrowed her long veil and the rest of her gorgeous accessories. Her scent for the day was Hugo Boss Orange.
“I loved its simplicity, the vintage feel, and beautiful shoulder embellishment.”
The groom looked very handsome in his grey wool three piece suit from Moss Bros. with a lovely deep burgundy tie and his thistle and lavender buttonhole.
The bride was accompanied down the aisle by her father to ‘Silhouette’ by Julia Holter.
The bride got her vintage wedding ring at Mulroy Antiques at the MetroCentre in Gateshead. Chosen because it perfectly compliments her engagement ring.
The couple created a cosy country feel with faux flowers and moss from Country Baskets and log segments and candles supplied by their florist. Their favours were hexagonal jars filled with chocolates with a luggage tag showing the guest’s name and doubling them up as a place setting.

Mr and Mrs Hall went to Marks and Spencer for their wedding cakes. They chose an elegant white three tier cake decorated with gypsophila and the groom’s choice, a four tier ‘cake’ of cheese.
WORDS OF WEDDED WISDOM
“Don’t compare yourself with other weddings or couples. Make the day about you and do what you enjoy. Have the ceremony early, we had ours at 12pm so we had the whole day to relax and party. Don’t try to change how you look on the day. Just be the best you.”
“Accept that you won’t sleep the night before and worrying only makes it worse. Don’t plan everything too far in advance or you will change your mind when it’s too late. Don’t stress about making sure the guests are happy and entertained. They are there for you, as long as you are happy and there’s plenty of food and drink, they will be happy too.
“The best moment of the day was having a drunk dance in the evening. We genuinely wouldn’t change a thing about the whole day. It really was perfect.”
What perfect words of wisdom. Many congratulations Mr and Mrs Hall, thank you so much for sharing your special day with us. Thanks also to the amazing Andy Hudson whose images perfectly capture the relaxed, intimate feel of this gorgeous wedding.
