With an incredible team of wedding professionals and an abundance of talent, the overall mood for the shoot that was ethereal; slightly ghostly, yet with a warm, soulful depth playing on the mystery surrounding the secret walled garden – a hidden treasure at Garthmyll Hall. Below, stylist Krysta of Style & Bloom tells us more. Enjoy, flower lovers!

“We aimed to showcase the wildly dramatic floral setting of the venue, Garthmyl Hall,  in a simplistic, organic style, while allowing the romance of the walled garden to speak for itself. We used florals & foliage grown only three miles away from the wedding venue itself, to enhance and compliment the natural setting of the exclusive country house.”

“The exquisite ‘Classic Peony’ collection by calligrapher, By Moon and Tide, in collaboration with Amy Swann Cakes, was also a nod to British Flowers Week, and it effortlessly fitted in with the venue and the natural surroundings.”

“Floral Designer, Donna of Pheasant Botanica, created magnificent floral displays within the secret walled garden, including a hanging installation and a meadow-inspired bridal bouquet full of sweet peas, roses, water lily, mint, beech, foxglove and phlox, to name but a few. We tied a flowing pink ribbon around the stems of the bouquet for a hint of femininity, while adding an extra dash of romance and softness.”

“Silk runners, napkins and runners by Pom Pom Blossom were used throughout the shoot, while moody purple and blue candles by Hus and Hem added elegance to the table styling.”

“Delicate sugar flowers adorned the three-tier wedding cake, created by Amy Swann Cakes – you’d be forgiven for thinking the flowers were real. Much alike Donna, Amy is inspired by the seasons and nature, and this is evident in the subtle imperfections imprinted on the sugar flowers. The effect is nothing short of breath-taking.”

“The bridal gowns were made especially for the shoot by the wonderfully hard-working and extremely talented Sienna Von Hildemar, featuring subtle embroidered detail on the full length silk gown and a two-piece with a tulle skirt. We added a touch of sparkle to the two looks with the help of Glitzy Secrets and their glittering array of beautiful bridal accessories.

“Set on a beautiful summer’s day on the Powys Shropshire border, the sun intermittently broke through the clouds, providing the most incredible opportunities for our stunning bride to pose against the white backdrop of the orangery and dance around the shadows.”

“Heavily influenced by British Flowers Week, this was a fabulous collaboration with some of the best British wedding industry suppliers, who are clearly so passionately inspired by their natural surroundings. The shoot was a heavenly blend of modern elegance, romance and dramatic floral details, showcasing the incredible work of so many talented suppliers within the wedding industry.”
