Hello lovelies, after a quiet day of catching up on admin yesterday we have two gorgeous sets of nuptials to share with you today, starting with this beauty that took place with a rather tropical looking Dorset coastline as backdrop.
Lynne and Jo, who live and work in Dubai, tied the knot on 12th August last year at Pennsylvania Castle in Portland, Dorset. When this wedding submission arrived, it was an instant ‘yes!’ from me – that beautiful Jesus Peiro completely stole the show.
“The vibe of our wedding day was ‘contemporary Ibiza luxe, set in an English Castle.’ The inspiration for this came from us currently living in Dubai surrounded by a luxury lifestyle this combined with Jo being half Spanish and our love for music. We wanted to bring the whole Dubai and Ibiza party scene to a stunning English setting with endless sea views close to all our friends and family.

“Our film maker was Ana Marina Sanz of AMS Lovin Video. One of the most talented and funniest people we have ever met, she was such a pleasure to work with – from finding her on Instagram to seeing how she captures the day in such a unique way we were so lucky to have been able to have her as part of our wedding team. The comments we have received just from our ‘teaser’ have been incredible.”

Lynne visited The Bridal Boutique, Warwickshire to discover her divine Jesus Peiro gown.
“I went in for a fitted dress, but when I tried this one on which was recommended by Maddie from the Boutique, I instantly loved it. The connection to Spain through the Barcelona designer also fitted with our theme and I just loved the detail of the open back of the dress.”
“We met 12 years ago both working at Tesco’s whilst we were studying. Jo proposed when on holiday on Fesdu Island in the Maldives, he organised a private dinner on a jetty overlooking the sea before popping the question. We were engaged for 15 months before the wedding day.”
“I wanted something a little more unique than my usual fragrances, so chose to wear Amouage Honor .”
“For accessories, I wore a pair of Swarovski Earrings and Bracelet.”
The couple hired floral designer Jennifer Pointer Flowers.
“We wanted large white luxury flowers with no foliage to fit with the contemporary theme of the wedding – seeing Jen’s previous work, we knew that she would be another perfect part of our team.”
The bridesmaid wore a maxi dress from TFNC London via ASOS along with silver metallic ankle tie heeled sandals, also from ASOS.
The bridesmaids were also each gifted a ‘Live in the Moment‘ silver bracelet by The Mindful Company.
Jo looked fabulous in a bespoke Tuxedo from Ascot & Chapel and pair of black, patent Christian Louboutin Greggo shoes.
“My Father accompanied me down the aisle to the sound of The Piano Guys playing A Thousand Years.”
”We didn’t tailor our vows and made selection from the options provided.”
“We didn’t have any readings either. We wanted a short ceremony so that everyone could enjoy the celebrations.”
“All our rings, including my engagement and both our individual rings were bespoke and custom designed by ourselves and made at Dubai Gold & Diamond Park through Tejari Jeweller’s.”
“We really put a lot of time and effort in to planning the day and created a number of different feelings as we journeyed around the venue, creating a different atmosphere for different times of the day.”
“We wanted our cake to be a statement piece in our wedding breakfast orangery. Seeing Lisa’s previous work and then being able to taste test on our visit to Dorset we just knew we had to have her another part of our team. Safe to say this was one of the most enjoyable parts of our wedding planning.”
“Our photographer was Kasia Nowak of Peppermint Love Photography. We can’t recommend Kasia highly enough, she goes above and beyond to truly capture the essence of your day. From our first meeting, to finalising our album pictures we couldn’t have wished for any better.”
“It’s so difficult to pick a favorite time as it really was the perfect day from start to finish. If we had to, Beats & Bubbles at Sun Set with our friends and family in the Italian Garden just pips it. We enjoyed having two bars setup with His Espresso Martini & Hers Pimms cocktails with the music playing at sun set creating the perfect Ibiza beach club vibes.”
“For our first dance, we had our tribute band play Maroon 5’s ‘She will be loved’. We had always loved the Maroon 5 and seen them live together a number of times. It also allowed a different vibe from the house music played throughout the day.”
Words of Wedded Wisdom
“My words of wisdom would to embrace planning the biggest celebration of your life and one of the only times where you will enjoy having all your friends and family in one place. Don’t let the little things stress you on the day and live in the moment as everything goes by in the blink of the eye. We would love to relive it all over again.”
“Planning a wedding from overseas can seem like a daunting task – but ensuring you have a good team of suppliers is invaluable. The time we spent on planning ahead really helped our day run smoothly and be better than we could ever had imagined.”
