It is an absolute pleasure to share the work of this creative team, and to introduce you to Unique Home Stays – a company I’ve had my beady eye on through Instagram for some time now.
This photoshoot was captured in the stunning grounds of The Lost Orangery in the Cotswolds. This stunning space is available for weddings through Unique Home Stays. The images here speak for themselves, though I’m going to hand over to the very lovely photographer behind this shoot, Jo Bradbury, to tell us more…
“As a wedding photographer, it was extremely exciting to be able to step through the doors of The Lost Orangery, one of the most incredible wedding venues in the UK. This styled shoot took place in October 2018, and I couldn’t believe how luscious and beautiful this incredible garden was.”

“It’s a magical world filled with topiary, a crumbling castle, Italianate terraces and the most beautiful lake, made even more beautiful by the romantic styling and florals put together by this creative team. This Autumnal styled shoot was organised by Wild Ones Community, who organise a series of fabulous wedding photography workshops ,( both in the UK and abroad) every year.”

This unique luxury self-catering property near Bath and Castle Combe in Wiltshire harbours an inspiring history nestled within the grounds of Sir Walter Raleigh’s old hunting lodge. Today this impressive venue offers a spectacular location for hosting weddings that dreams are made of.
The grounds at The Lost Orangery were imagined by Julian and Isabel Bannerman who have transformed this English country estate into something quite spectacular that wouldn’t look out of place in a scene from Alice in Wonderland.
The Lost Orangery on the edge of Castle Combe in the Cotswolds is set within 500 acres of spectacular private grounds boasting enchanted woodland, a beautiful valley and boating lake, all bound by a crumbling castle. This exclusive manor house in Wiltshire is a spectacular wedding venue certain to impress wedding guests by exuding a special blend of grandeur, heart and soul.

Working very closely with stylist, One Stylish Day, the base colour palette for the flowers of dusky pink and yellow ochre was inspired by paint swatches from master colourists, Farrow & Ball. The palette was then extended further to include Autumnal burnt oranges and coffee tones, with deeper, richer cinnamon and marsala accents, a real mix of all the colours found so beautifully in nature at this time of year.
Flowers included roses, chrysanthemums and locally grown dahlias and phlox. Most of the foliage was foraged, with permission, in privately owned woodland and also included hops and Old Man’s Beard (clematis) from local hedgerows as well as lunaria and trailing jasmine vines, ferns, seasonal berries and seed heads for added texture and movement.

I was thrilled and honoured to be invited to style for another Wild Ones workshop at The Lost Orangery. The venue is simply outstanding. Ecelectic and unique in the chicest of ways, every corner a feast for the eyes. I designed the tablescape to be styled in the orangery itself. This space begs for colour, anything else would be simply swallowed up by the beautiful strength of colour washing the walls.
I used a base palette of ochre and a muted rose, grounded with rust and amber tones and tarnished gold details throughout. A fresh and modern take on autumnal tones, perfectly fitting for this venue.

The cake was covered with layers of wafer paper, to create a delicate, fragile look and decorated with beautiful blooms and foliage in Autumnal colours to compliment the floral installation. Inside was spiced carrot cake with pecan and salted caramel buttercream filling.
Enormous thanks to the creative team for choosing to share these images through Love My Dress. I hope they might inspire you and maybe even encourage some of you to consider this exceptional space as your own wedding venue.
