Modern Pink + Black, Nature Inspired + Elegant Wedding Editorial

These images were sent in by Fay of Wild Calligraphy who teamed up with a group of lovely suppliers to create a nature inspired editorial.

It’s great to see the designs of our Little Book wedding directory member, Susanna Greening Designs, featuring in these images – we recommend this independent designer most highly to brides in and around the Derbyshire area.

“I am Faye from Wild Calligraphy, an on-the-day stationery studio specialising in eco-friendly and sustainable place cards, signs and more. For me, shoots are all about inspiration, and I always find inspiration in nature, therefore, my shoots tend to use mostly natural resources and take place in locations with great outdoor spaces.”

Healing Manor is a family run business on the coast near Grimsby. We were so lucky to secure the space for the day as it is a stunning venue. Charlotte, the director of the venue, was so accommodating from the first email. I would whole heartedly recommend the venue to anyone both as a wedding venue and a spot for a weekend away or bite to eat in one of their on site restaurants.”

The models in this shoot were a real couple and friends of Faye – they are due to marry themselves in April 2020 but loved the idea of an engagement shoot that was a bit ‘extra’!

“The vibe of the day was delicately wild, with a colour palate of pinks and neutrals with black accents.”

“The two dresses were by the amazing Sus of Susanna Greening Designs. Sus is an artisan dress maker who worked in fashion for years for the likes of Paul Smith before venturing into Bridal design.”

“Sus is based in Matlock and provides a fully bespoke, made to order service. Her dresses are what dreams are made of.”

“I wanted two looks, a demure day look (perhaps more traditional) and a shmoking evening look. Delicate and ‘edgy but refined’ details were central across the day.”
