It has always been an immense honour and pleasure to be able to share the work of our Little Book Wedding Directory members.

We’re welcoming new members all the time which is incredibly exciting and humbling too – because I see it as a huge responsibility to support these businesses at this incredibly challenging time for everyone working in the wedding industry (by the way, did you see this article we published earlier today that introduces you to 20+ bridal boutiques re-opening their doors as of next week?).

One of our newest Little Book members is talented Kent Wedding Photographer, Olegs Samsonovs, who worked with a fabulous team of suppliers prior to lockdown, to produce these gorgeous images. These photographs are packed full of beautiful Spring wedding style suggestions that are especially perfect for a small and intimate wedding. Olegs tells us more…

“Inspired by the early spring time when everything is starting to change and blossom. It was also about stripping things back and keeping everything natural and sustainable.”

There are natural dyed napkins and ribbons, raw wood signs, recycled wedding props and foraged flowers all sourced from the amazing Kentish wedding suppliers. We chose serene and earthy colours for this shoot – sage green, cream white with a splash of terracotta.”

Venue

“It took place at the The Secret Garden’s vintage glasshouse. The vintage Glass House is suitable for smaller weddings and comes with its own private herb garden for alfresco dining. With plenty of natural light and rustic furniture look it was a perfect location for the shoot.”

Flowers

“East Kent Flower Company created the most beautiful flower arrangements. She literally brought spring inside the glasshouse. There is a variety of very first spring blossom and some gorgeous dried flowers and foliage.”

Styling and details

“We asked the fabulous Kylie Christie if she could help with the styling on the day… and were amazed how she put everything together. We had a beautiful ceremony area with the neon sign ‘Happily Ever After’, which was decorated with two free-standing growing flower pieces by East Kent Flower Company and some vintage Persian rugs from Boho and Bloom Prop Hire.”

“The table featured lots of organic and natural elements – the cream table runner and napkins naturally dyed by the The Natural Dyeworks in Faversham, recycled amber and ceramic pots were filled with the olive tree branches, dried flowers and Ester and Erik candles.”

“Kylie also added a few terracotta pots which we found in the glasshouse and personalised seedball matchboxes wedding favours supplied by the lovely Seedball. The fresh green and gold place names were created by the talented Jessica from Boards By Jess.”

“Jessica also created beautiful personalised signs on the raw wood (welcome sign and gin bar sign).”

“The Boho lounge area was created by lovely Leah from Boho and Bloom and styled by Kylie Cristie with flowers from East Kent Flower Company. To celebrate the beginning of the spring there had to be a gin bar and a colourful donut wall for some fun shots.”

“The dreamy spring stationery was designed and supplied by Heather Corthine Designs.”

The Look

The Bridal Boutique of Jules supplied the dress and what a beauty it was. Hand embroidered with fresh green tones made a perfect gown for this shoot. It was also all about the accessories – gorgeous shoes from Harriet Wilde, handmade artisan earrings and crown from Miss Clemmie.

Holly O’Connor Make Up Artist and Terri from Kent Bridal Hair did their magic on making the bride look effortlessly chic and flawless.

The handmade vine rings were made by Lawley Design. Featuring a beautiful natural green sapphire and totally unique as the vines never lay in the same place twice.
