I am always on the lookout for new designers, and my efforts of late have led me to discover Russian bridal fashion designer, Tatiana Kaplun, whose glamorous, romantic designs I know that many of you will love.

The editorial team behind these images, set out to prove that not weddings, regardless of their size, don’t need a huge amount of decoration, or need to have decor-filled tables to be absolutely beautiful, elegant and indeed enjoyable. Words by photographer Rita at Amor Vincit Omnia follow…

“Together with my amazing team (almost all female except for the videographer), we planned a modern, intimate elopement in a renovated ex-pasta-factory in the older more industrial area of Rome.”

“Our editorial was created for the high-end bride, who’d want to celebrate with only a couple friends, wearing a clean and minimalist vibe, with an environment to match, using simple decor and natural colours and design elements.”

“We wanted to illustrate how this level of effortless glamour can be achieved without loosing the essence of luxury and elegance – and highlight how embracing ‘less’ on the day can feel so much like ‘more’, combined with the emotions present.”

“We wanted to avoid creating an editorial that felt too minimalist however, so introduced some subtle, key notes on the decoration and within all the visual elements: decorated hand made plates and un-usual floral compositions, for example.”

“The sleek, effortless-looking dress had the perfect amount of ruches on the sleeves and shoulders to make it pop and stand out — and Martina looked just perfect in it.”

“That same upgraded minimalism was present in the bride’s hair and makeup with the small crystals, as well as in the gorgeous rings that featured raw stones.”

“The flowers used were elegant orchids with a touch of wild and wooden pieces that recall the real essence of nature.”
