What a pleasure to support the talent of the lovely Charlotte, founder of our recommended supplier, Frond & Bloom.
Charlotte collaborated with a team of wedding suppliers to create these beautiful images, inspired by Sandro Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus. The team set out to capture the beauty and strength of the female form and in fact it was an all-female of lovely East Midlands wedding suppliers who made this editorial happen.
“The space was a blank canvas allowing every element of the shoot to stand out against it. Both the photographer, Magda K Photography, and the Videographer, Rather Lovely Films, captured perfectly not only the romance of the concept but Venus as the epitome of female beauty: powerful, enduring and fiercely confident.”

“Soft drapes and candlelight were added to bring dimension, depth and a sense of architecture to the space. This allowed the florals and model to sit amongst them and move through the space.”
“Makeup Artist Ruby J Beauty and hair stylist Everyones Looking Rosie’s first of two bridal beauty looks was inspired by the sculptures of ancient Greece, striking busts with soft yet defined features and the glow of freshly polished marble.”
“The gowns we used were Irma, by ‘Milla Nova’ and ‘Fumrole and ‘Adrienne’, both by Pronovias.”
“Ivory White Bridal boutique supplied dresses that complimented and enhanced the natural female form.”
“They aimed for looks that highlighted Bex’s natural shape with a modern edge and materials like crisp satin and crepe that glide along the female form.”
“For the second look, they brought together tones and textures from Botticelli’s Birth of Venus.”
“Marine blues in a modern placement on the eyes while pearls adorned the gleaming skin. Hair was kept loose and wild, yet classic, as if caught by the wind.”
“The wedding cake by Rock n Roll Baker and styling by Tara Knott Styled Events brought the entire look and vibe together beautifully.”
“The invitations by Wild Calligraphy GB were all hand illustrated with shells and crystals and finished with delicate handwritten calligraphy.”
