Weddings are such a wonderful rollercoaster. Quiet, serene moments scattered through a day full of energy, love and joy – that is what I live to capture.
A DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY WITH A ‘SPRINKLING’ OF EDITORIAL
I am primarily a documentary photographer and I love to capture the pure, candid fun and energy of those you have chosen to surround you on this amazing day. I add a ‘sprinkling’ of editorial to capture the lovely details you have spent so much time putting together and I will guide you through some portraits to make them feel natural and easy and not overposed. I never want you to feel like the photography is taking over your day, so I work with you to create a timeline that will feel seamless and joyful and use all my years of experience to ensure you get the perfect mix of coverage.
Although based in Cornwall, I do travel across the UK and world for weddings – most recently to Italy and California. My packages are for UK wide weddings, and international weddings are package+travel costs only.

How do you do couple pictures that don't feel too staged?
Here’s the thing… I believe that wedding days are way too short to be spent posing! I love to take couple photos in pretty places, I really enjoy the time I get to spend with you doing so, but I also don’t think that portraits should feel like they take over too much of your day. I think the genuine, candid portrait captures that come from natural interactions are just as powerful, such as your confetti moment or walking back down the aisle together. These have a story to tell and hold so much heart.
Everyone loves (and needs) some beautiful couple shots that will be cherished, so I suggest we take a moment during the day to create some, but in a very relaxed way. We go for a wander, find some pretty spots around your venue, and create images for you that will feel relaxed and natural and not forced and we time these to work best with your plan for your day, without it feeling like it is a photoshoot. My favourite time to do a few photos of just the two of you is when your guest are taking their seats – this is usually when you will be ‘hanging around’ a bit before you walk in the room and you will feel like you have not had to sacrifice time away from guests. Also, some taken during golden light is always magical … or after dinner, when all the formalities are over and the fizz has kicked in!
We hate having our photo taken, can you help us relax for the camera?
Honestly, me too, I see a camera and I want to hide so I always put myself in your shoes and how I would feel so I guide you with that thought in mind. I have learnt so much over the last 15 years in my photography career and I have never had a couple or person say to me ‘that was awkward’. I promise I won’t pose you and make you feel uncomfortable, we will just go for a wander and find some pretty spots and take some photos of the two of you together.
How long do we have to wait to get our full gallery of images?
Because I shoot a limited amount of weddings per year, it enables me to ensure a timely delivery of your images. A preview collection of images will be available for you within one week of your wedding date and your full collection within one month.
Do you travel outside Devon & Cornwall?
Absolutely! I regularly travel to counties across the UK and shoot often in London. I also travel abroad and have captured weddings as far away as Brazil and New Zealand and most recently Italy and California.
Are your images all colour or do you do a mix?
My photography career started in the darkroom and on film, so I still see scenarios as B&W or colour from the moment I lift up my camera. I deliver your images in a mix of B&W and colour, depending on what I feel works best creatively or how I have seen that image created on capture, according to the light
How long is your coverage?
I generally start around 2 hours before the ceremony and finish a good hour after the first dance. My packages are not time-limited as such, so we maximise your photography coverage according to your days plans, and your wants.
What packages do you offer?
I offer two packages, and both include all your final images in a gallery that you can download and keep. I do love prints so package one includes a selection of fine art prints, and package two includes a beautiful heirloom album. They start at £2300 and I also offer packages for mid-week weddings, micro weddings and elopements.
