Regulars readers may recall my recent post on Freya Rose, London based maker of bespoke bridal and occasion wear shoes.
Well Freya emailed me yesterday to tell me about an award she had won for her innovative use of materials; "Freya Rose
won 1st Place in the ‘Tahitian Pearl Awards’ featured in Tatler and Vanity
Fair and ‘Young Designer of the Year’ at the 2010 Bridal Buyer Awards."
Wowee Freya, well done you! But it comes as no surprise that this talented lady is winning awards. Isn't this shoe below just divine? Makes me think of Cinderella and her glass slipper – that elegant heel that was left behind in the dash to get home, only to be found by Prince Charming and treasured until it's rightful owner was discovered :) This is the Della Blossom Pink, which costs £395 – a fine price for a bespoke hand-made shoe from an award winning designer if you ask me. The craftsmanship that goes into each pair of these delightful heels is second to none. The Freya
Rose 'Blossom Collection' uses 100% silk chiffon hand made
flowers, that incorporate Parisian lace and ostrich feathers. They are embellished
with high quality fresh water pearls and Swarovski crystals, offering a
delicate and feminine look.
