Set against the iconic backdrop of 10-11 Carlton House Terrace – one of London’s most prestigious locations – this editorial strikes the perfect balance between modern black-tie style and timeless bridal elegance.
This editorial features four of our brilliant Love My Dress recommended suppliers; photography, concept and planning was by the wonderfully talented and friendly Cat Arwel, menswear by Jack Bunneys, bridal shoes by Freya Rose London, and the dreamy, romantic and playful bridal fashion was of course, by the inimitable Halfpenny London.
The fusion of old style Hollywood glamour with contemporary, romantic and playful bridal fashion – and genuine moments of connection between a real model couple, makes this a wonderfully authentic editorial. And that next-level floral design by Rust Bloom is something very special indeed. Enjoy!
In the bustling streets of London, where fashion meets tradition, we meet our protagonists – a chic and stylish couple who embody the essence of modernity while paying homage to the timeless allure of old Hollywood glamour.
Their love story unfolds against the backdrop of iconic landmarks, blending the contemporary charm of the city with the timeless elegance of a bygone era.
The couple’s wardrobe was a blend of modern, design-led pieces by Halfpenny London, curated to reflect their individuality and sophisticated taste.
Shot at one of London’s most iconic locations on The Mall, 10-11 Carlton House Terrace, home to the British Academy, is a spectacular Grade 1 listed Georgian townhouse located in the heart of Westminster.
I’ve recently become one of their preferred suppliers and thought of no better way to mark the occasion than with an editorial shoot with some of London’s best suppliers!
I wanted the photography to be bold yet intimate, capturing the couple in candid moments of connection and romance. I used creative framing, dynamic compositions, and thoughtful lighting, bringing the concept to life.
George of Rust Bloom created two incredible floral designs – one displayed in the Council Room and one in the Barnard Room.

Seasonal, British flowers including huge cherry blossom branches entwined with spring favourites, including British-grown ranunculus, super long-stemmed tulips, poppies, and anemones. The first bouquet features anemones, scented narcissi, butterfly ranunculus, and sweet peas tied with silk.
The second bouquet is a simple design of massed daisies. The mantelpiece features masses of British-grown tulips in a shell-coloured palette, mixed amongst garden-style roses, daisies, and masses of trailing spirea foliage.
We had two Halfpenny outfits – the first was the Oliver dress with sun sleeves and moon skirt, and for the second look we had the Molly dress, reflection sleeves, and cascade veil.
The exterior of Carlton House Terrace is basically the driveway up to the palace and was the perfect backdrop for our outdoor photos. Our real model couple Max and Rachel strolled along this magnificent street looking extra fabulous, making my job super easy.
