About Daisy Sheldon Embroidery
Daisy Sheldon creates feminine and romantic embroidered wedding veils using a traditional Cornely machine. Daisy ships her ethical and sustainable wedding veil designs to brides who appreciate incomparable handmade quality, all over the UK and world.
Embroidered Wedding Veils
Lovingly handcrafted in England, Daisy Sheldon’s unique veil embroidery technique preserves the rare and fading traditional Cornely embroidery that originated in France in the 1920s. No two veils are the same – each one is expertly handmade using a high level of skill that preserves the beauty and intricacy that is lost in modern digital embroidery.
This isn’t just a wedding veil, this is a luxurious work of art, a design piece created by a talented artisan that can be passed on for generations to come as a much loved heirloom.
Personalised Wedding Veils
Daisy’s veils are inspired the celestial heavens and classic British countryside. Each veil is fully customisable with personal details that hold meaning to the wearer.
Shapes, symbols, art and poetry and words can all be delicately embroidered into Daisy’s veils – bringing special meaning to you and your loved one on your wedding day.
As well as veils in her collection, Daisy can also create bespoke designs from scratch.
Adding Embroidery to Heirloom Veils
Whether you’ve already purchased a veil or have a treasured family heirloom veil that’s been passed down to you through the generations, you can add a little ‘je ne sais quoi’ with a personalised touch, lovingly embroidered by hand to create a truly unique, wearable art piece.
No one does veils like Daisy Sheldon, she is a rare gem of artisnal talent in a world of hyper digitisation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based?
I am based in Somerset in the UK, but work with brides from all over the world; from the US to Australia!
How long does the process take?
Timeframes vary depending on whether it is peak bridal season and also the style of veil you are having, including the amount of embroidery, but generally the process takes around 4- 12 weeks. But tighter timeframes can be worked to if necessary.
I already have a wedding veil, can you embroider some personalised embroidery onto it?
Yes! If you have already purchased a veil or have an heirloom veil that has been passed down to you and would like to add some personalised touches, Daisy offers a bespoke embroidery service to embroider existing wedding veils. Whether this is a monogram, script or any other ideas you have, please get in touch to discuss your individual requirements.
Can you tell me more about the process or ordering?
The creative process involves discussing exactly what you would like and once we have established the kind of veil you are looking for you will receive a quote. If you are happy with the quote, then a 50% deposit to secure your space is required and then an indication of timescales will be given. Your veil design will be hand drawn and then digitised and you will be sent the design and at this stage, you may make amendments if necessary. Once the design is exactly as you would like it, the making process for your bespoke veil can start. When your veil is finished, the final 50% payment will be due on completion and on receipt of this, your veil will be sent to your desired address.
How much does a veil cost?
Price depends on the type of veil you are having – whether this is a collection veil or bespoke design, the veil length and the amount of embroidery. Veils usually cost between £400 - £2000. If you have a particular budget set aside, it is also possible to work to your individual requirements and create your perfect veil, tailored to your budget.
