I’m Hannah Larkin – I’m a storytelling wedding photographer based in London, covering the UK.
I care about connecting with people, helping them feel confident so I can capture gorgeously relaxed, natural images where your emotions really shine through. I take on only a small number of weddings each year & dedicate time to get to know you, to talk about your plans & understand what’s important to you. I’m often told how calming I am, & helping you relax is key as it allows me to capture authentic moments when you’re truly yourself.
I focus on capturing emotions, natural moments as they happen, & relaxed, romantic portraits. I photograph the personal touches you’ve handpicked, the setting you’ve chosen & your loved ones celebrating. I seek out beautiful natural light & have a fine art style. I bring all of these elements together to create a visual story of your day.
I’ve been a wedding photographer for over a decade, & have been lucky to photograph Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, civil & celebrant-led weddings – from elopements to multi-day weddings with hundreds of guests. I’m happy to work with people of any religion, ethnicity, sexuality or gender (& their pets!). I’d love to hear your plans & talk about how I could capture the story of your wedding.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's it like having you photograph our wedding?
It’s like having a super organised, list-loving, friendly face and helping hand, calming nerves and photographing your preparations, discreetly capturing your ceremony, gently guiding you to create beautiful wedding portraits, organising groups to leave you time to chat to your guests and mingling to get candid shots of them having fun, enjoying the speeches and dancing. But don’t take my word for it – see how my couples describe me.
Which areas do you cover and will you travel?
I live in London, have a base in Northumberland and love travelling across the UK and overseas to photograph beautiful weddings and elopements. So wherever you’re planning your wedding please send me a message so we can through your wedding plans.
Are you happy to photograph same sex weddings / religious weddings and traditional weddings?
Yes! Although I think it’s sad this has to be stated, it’s important to me that you know I’m happy to work with people of any religion, ethnicity or sexuality.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
It might rain. I’ll always talk to you about a rainy day back up plan. This might be wellies and an umbrella, a covered doorway, being flexible with timings so we can dash out to make the most of any breaks in the rain or an indoor alternative for photographs. Wherever possible I’ll encourage you to head outside even just for 5 minutes under an umbrella – and don’t worry, rainy day weddings can still be beautiful.
Do you provide wedding albums?
I offer bespoke Queensberry albums or handcrafted fine art books from Folio. There’s something special about a book of memories and they become family treasures. They can be personalised with a wide range of colours, fonts and layouts – so your wedding story keepsake can be as unique as your wedding day. And they open flat, perfect for sharing on knees for generations to come. For further details and prices please send me a message.
